Any offensive player leaving would be making a mistake doing so, with the opportunities they've got.

Matthews was on AP PC two weeks ago, completely locked in. He's a family guy. He said he loved it but did miss his family.

Bra has been on record saying not getting young guys more reps would hurt us.

Lack of recruiting success at that position is criminal. The exodus is understood, but losing MM would not be ideal, by any stretch. All things considered would make me re think keeping Pope for another year.

I wouldn’t keep Pope but Heupel will.

Wow. Completely floored.

What the eff is going on with this program.......

There have to be some issues we don't know about..... Maybe all the talk about culture issues wasn't smoke after all?

Squirrel isn’t a huge loss imo. It’s now being reported that Squirrel and Nico didn’t have the best relationship. It happens. So it’s better for everyone if Squirrel finds another opportunity. He’s not a NFL caliber imo but that is his goal, esp since he has a kid.

Seldon was injured most of the season so he would be 3rd string at best next season.

The other wide receivers who left didn’t see much playing time. That could’ve been the case next season, especially if Boo plays offense. We still have Matthews, Brazzell, Staley, and Boo.

I don’t think it’s been reported but Brazzell thought about hitting the portal. I think he’s staying, for now. And hopefully Nico stays, too. Time will tell.

This is a new era of college sports and every school will go through this. Keep in mind we must make room for the 25 incoming freshmen, so those hitting the portal made room for those recruits. Plus Bishop was a walk on who will now receive a scholly.

We were a playoff team with a 10-2 record. I wasn’t happy sitting in the cold watching my Alma mater get their butts kicked in the shoe; however, we improved from last season and overachieved. We will go 9-3 or 10-2 next season. It depends if Heup can figure out how to play on the road. It’s definitely coaching and I’m confident he will figure it out.

Edit- looks like Matthews may be leaving so we def have issues at receiver. There could be one or two more leaving if Matthews takes off.
