Wrong. @MoCo_Vol claimed, "So WR room which we all agreed was one of the weakest groups."

However, that was NOT what most of you thought before the season (or even well into the season). Most of you claimed our WR room was a strength of the team. Now that our WR's got shown up by OSU, you guys are trying to rewrite history (revisionist history) by claiming that everyone always agreedthat our WR corp was weak.

Many of you severely misjudged the talent of our WR room, and now you guys are trying to act like you always knew it was a weakness. That is revisionist history.
I fully admit I thought our WRs would be a huge strength this year. And I was completely wrong.

Yeah if he’s taking this long he’s seeing what he can get.
He has an idea. Sales isnt that difficult. Its basic human psychology. People can empathize and discern typically do well.

Being able to read other's behaviors without them being in the room, now that is an art.

My boss is a master. Super sharp.

Kid knows he doesnt want to be here and is using every reason he can find as an Escape Goat. he holds all the cards.

Dollars to donuts its Georgia or Clemson, with a bag.

I would be upset if Matthews had got ample playing time this past season and pulled this BS. I understand why Matthews left watching fellow Freshmen Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams and Ryan Wingo making major contributions to their teams, while Matthews watched the brick hands of Brazzell and others drop passes left and right..

Sounds like it wouldve happened no matter hwat. Better we move on now, than later.

Every time he got in the game he balled out. Made more plays with fewer opportunities than any of the other receivers. Some on this staff seems to think practice habits are more important than winning football games? I seen that movie before.
Yet, the staff has done pretty well. The overriding theme with coaches is that they play the guys who they trust to be in the correct spot and make the plays. Sometimes, they can get it wrong because some guys don't practice well. But, if you have ever been a coach, you would know what this means. Sometimes, guys just need a year to two to figure it out. Coaches want to win as well, as their job is on the line.

Yeah I get a strong scent of butthurt over the lack of PT last year and now he’s making demands as a result.

So it’s not about the money…but the payment for past sins is.

And if I’m right, he can hit the door.

And add to that that Boo Carter was also a true freshman who saw plenty of playing time and just got a raise and/or an opportunity to get more touches. That couldn't have sat well.

Boo earned his touches. It sucks MM got injured early in the season but if he wasn’t playing above our other receivers then I trust the staff on why he wasn’t getting the type of minutes boo got.

If anything it should have driven him to compete harder like Hyatt did, instead of jumping ship. If he was practicing/playing like Ryan Williams or Jeremiah Smith he would’ve started 🤷

Austin price on Swain

Mm - it was more about his playing time than money

Branch - noted Miami visit with no QB, no DC. Need a visit

There are other names out there under the radar blah blah

Benson - talked to him but we will see if he visits. AP skeptical that Tennessee will honestly pursue

Tennessee has ZERO portal visits set up.

On fanbase concerns: understands the concern but Tennessee has only lost backups. Let it play out.

Says looks to add:
A rb. Mentioned Angel Johnson (no visit yet) and maybe another RB.
Two or three more receivers

Another segment coming up about Landry and Banks.
He blowing smoke up our A$$.
We’ve lost 3 starting WR, MM would be starting so 4.

Unless we load up on receivers from playoff teams by end of January we are in terrible shape in the passing game heading into spring practice, which means fewer opportunities for Nico to develop rhythm with new receivers 🥴. I know everyone is preaching calm but this seems like a not so great situation!
Terrible shape? Idk. Brought in a pretty good freshman class. Would be less than ideal to depend on freshmen though.

You got Brazzell and Staley though. Actually think Travis Smith will make a case to get on the field early assuming no injuries or anything like that.
