#1 Ignoring the playcalling, Milton and the WRs finally showed up! Milton running was great too. Perhaps they have finally clicked and we will see a complete offense against Kentucky and Mizzu. If so, they're beating them both.
#2 handled the road environment really well to open the game compared to the last few showings. Milton was calm and zero pre snap penalties until that last drive.
I'm going to say despite the epic meltdown if the O has truly fixed those 2 things, they'll beat Kentucky and Mizzu.
The meltdown was also against Bama and Saban at their house. Don't be too surprised. Don't give up on the year yet. They get Georgia at home and we know how they play at home.
2 weeks ago I said 8-4 or 7-5. Last week I said 9-3. I still think they can get to 9-3 with what I saw today. Probably 8-4 but I'm not panicking. This is classic Bama 2nd half/revenge game. Tenn isn't a better program still.
Also... REFS!!!

Negatives-Tennessee lost the game they were in every position to win going into the half due to very questionable play calling in the 2nd half. This loss takes us out of contention to get to Atlanta.

There weren't many after the first half. Play two halves unfortunately. This team likes to take a half off on the road...Players and coaches I might add.

Everyone is losing sight of the fact that the Vols had the ball late in the 4th quarter only down one score.

Milton’s fumble skewed the outcome, but we were very much in this game late. Milton just isn’t the QB who is going to put this team on his back in crunch time and lead it down the field.

I think you’re looking purely at score which is skewed. Truth is we weren’t in this game at all after half. I could feel it and so could every other fan. You could feel it coming.

Don’t forget the biggest positive: CBS takes Brad and Gary to the Big10 next year. Won’t miss them one bit. Trade Bammer love affair in for the Buckeyes. Good riddance!!!

Milton showed he is very capable in first half. We need some playmaker WRs. Squirrel is on his own. Keyton catches the impossible and drops the easy ones. Need more consistency. Joe threw a decent ball tonight. He just needs to get rid of the ball quicker and break out of the pocket quicker. The mind controls the body. A little too slow for SEC.

I’m with you. Sick of the moral victories. The leadership on this team sucks. Watching some of the players laughing and joking on the sideline as the Vols are getting their butts kicked is sickening. Losing isn’t funny or a great time.

Coach made stupid decisions. Joe can only manage a game can never take over a game! He played good but when asked to do more he cannot answer the call

Looking to next year, I'd incorporate playing Nico into these games just to get him some playing time. Maybe use him in some pass plays and keep the defenses guessing. I think most Vols fans know how this season plays out if we are honest with one another
