Possible reason for missed lay-ups

Early during the broadcast Bilas and his partner briefly discussed that Coach Barnes picked up a shooting technique used by the Arizona staff - shooting lay-ups or close range bank shots higher and softer off the glass... or something like that. If there's any truth to that, couldn't they wait til the off season to re-learn how to shoot? They may be aiming instead of relying on muscle memory. Except for Uros - it's working!
Don't over think it. Focus, determination and effort. UT didn't have much of any of those things and we stink, stank, stunk the joint up. We simply don't have an on the floor presence who refuses to lose and can pick a team up and take them to a win in a game like this. Coaches can only do so much, but once you're on the floor/field, you need that alpha to snap the team out of their funk and refuse to let them lose. JJJ is about as close as we have and no offense to him because it's not his personality, but he's no Grant Williams.

When your 7’1” post player goes 9-11 from the field, statistically you probably win almost every time, unless 3-4 other things happen simultaneously.
