Post a picture of your pet thread...(merged)

Here's a bigger pic of Smokey, the dog in my avatar.

This was a couple days after he swiped a stick of butter off the counter and ate it....notice the glossy sheen to his coat.

I have a 15-year-old border collie named lucy... poor girl isn't doing too well from what I hear.

and 2 cats we recently just got that are identical.. I'm at school and not with them but I still took charge and named them anyway - Bernie and Ernie. Only way you can tell them apart is their whiskers.. Bernie is mentally retarded (we assume) and he burnt half of his off by sniffing a candle. Major trouble maker.

Maybe I'll get some pics up of Bernie and Ernie later.

I don't think Smokey likes to be photographed very much.

Smokey can be a major drama queen. There was one time when I was having dinner with my wife, my brother and his wife, and my parents and he was being a butthead by walking around and whining for food. I told him three times to lay down, raising my voice a little bit each time. He kept up, so I squared toward him, looked right at him, and borderline yelled, "Smokey, LAY DOWN!" He walked about 10 feet away, did a half-yelp to get everyone's attention, and then threw himself down on the floor and sprawled out as if to say, "FINE! I'm laying down! Are you happy?"

As for him not liking to be photographed....these are rarities, admittedly. He's not a fan of the camera, but occasionally you can catch him off guard. If he hears it go on, he'll run off to the corner and bury his head; if he can't do that, he'll run up to whoever has the camera and jam his head between their knees.

A lot of good looking dogs on this threat, unfortunately for me all we've got is a cat my wife picked up at the pound.

This cat doesn't like ANYBODY! Well, here she is illustrating her natural loving self.

The pictures above go from top to bottom. Top was the first day we got him at 8 weeks and the very bottom was at about 4 months, I've got some more recent pics that I'll try to put up. He's still kinda skinny b/c the breeder had all 6 pups in one big pin w/ one food dish, I coulda kicked her for that, and he's growing so fast that he's having trouble putting on weight to keep up w/ the rest of him. People always comment on how big his paws are, but my first dog was a chocolate lab so I guess I don't really notice it too much. He also loves beer.

Here's the newest member of the family. His name is Jack (black lab mix). Couldn't get Jasmine to stay still long enough to get in a picture. She's a black minature poodle. They are hysterical together!!!

Click the pic to make it bigger.
