Florida's offense isn't all that inpressive. I was expecting 21 points in the first quarter. hey but ours sucks balls too...........

What makes me feel bad about this one is that we could have taken this one whenver we wanted but never took advantage of it because we were unfocused.

I was very surprised to see that UT rushed for -13 yds in the second half.

Thanks, Milo.  I do give Urban a lot of credit here.  Especially, believe it or not, on encouraging an aggressive Gator defense.  What a breath of fresh air for us Gators!

But, after all the "discipline" talk, he does have some work to do w/ the offensive line.

I think Florida definitely got a wake up call about their offense, specifically their running game. They've got to get better running the ball if they want people to respect the option and all those fakes.

But they did enough tonight.

I was impressed with their offense. They missed one third down conversion all night. They may not have capitalized on it, but they ate the clock up like no other which can be just as effective.

I think part of it was our D-line, we just got no help because we barely ever blitzed.

Yeah that drive at the end of the 3rd/start of the 4th was a killer.

Georgia can be beat. The Boise State game was a mirage due to turn overs and South Carolina would have beat them if they did not turn the ball over. And let me say this, Tennessee has a hell of a team, great talent, but some questionable coaching. I posted before the game the Fulmer has his staff coach "not to lose" rather than "win big". I feel Tennessee could have won big if they would have stayed committed to the running game which i also said prior to the game would be a big key. And lastly, there is not luck in football unless it involves referees. There is gameplan, preperation and execution. Tonight, the Gators where just a little better in the gameplan and execution (if only on defensive). Good luck Vols the rest of the way. I am pulling hard for you guys @ LSU.

Our d line was great against the run. Our defensive speed was also on display. Gator's offense is supposed to spread the field, and we covered them sideline to sideline and up the middle.

Lawgator, every time we got one on one coverage and kept missing all those deep balls, I kept thinking about how I told you we would be in good shape if we got man coverage on the outside.

Boy was I wrong. We just didn't take advantage.

The Gators defended the run well. But I still expected UT to stick to the run a lot more to try to eat up clock and wear down the UF defense. I think you ended up with less than 75 yards net rushing and that's just not UT football. Riggs was great ... when he got the ball.

I agree with all of that except the first. Riggs was eating up the Gator's D early on. We stopped "going to the well" when we got put in bad situations due to the play of the "special" teams ("special" used loosely). It's dang near impossible to overcome the mistakes we made tonight against a team with top-10 talent.

All in all, I agree with the "5-5 if we played ten times" assessment. Both teams better make some SERIOUS adjustments, because Uga is fired up in Athens at this late hour. Leak was pressured, threw some bad passes, and Florida's running game was nearly non-existent. The defensive line could do nothing to stop Riggs and the North-and-South game. Tennessee needs to END the "QB controversy." We've got to do some major overhaul on the kicking game.

For either side to gloat, no matter the outcome, is absurd. This was NOT the game that neither the Gators nor the Vols wanted.

Anyway. . . .good game Florida. Nobody 'round here will deny that you all deserved to win. The rest of the season is full of surprises, and neither of us being in Atlanta the first of December is certainly a possibility.

:peace: Wow. Never thought I'd be inviting a Gator fan to my tailgate party, but G-10, top level, next September.

At least we can both laugh at Spurrier's Cocks?

LOL, was that you? I actually thought of that comment from you during the game. Remember the UT pass where Ainge through the streak and the receiver ran an out pattern? The Florida corner jumped and tried to make the pick, but he was too damn short!!! Thought of your comment then.

But, yes, there were probably 3 or 4 times tonight where the Gator defender, one on one, hung on your guy just enough to keep him fom making the play.

I did think Ainge looked better, overall, in terms of future promise. I still think Clausen generally has better command of the offense, though, and seems more comfortable managing the team.

I've said this a trillion times and I'll say it again. I just don't think that Clausen can be effective against the faster defenses. I'm not knocking him, he's smart but I just don't think he has what we need.
