Post-graduate degree holders?

In my field, the newish approach is to write 3 related essay/studies that are closer to publication length as opposed to one opus.

This is also true in my field, statistics (got my doctorate over 30 yrs ago). I have seen dissertations consisting of 3 published papers. I think this is a good trend because the bar is getting higher and higher for tenure track assistant professor positions.

Good luck to all of those working on MS and PhD's in the STEM fields. I think the effort in getting those degrees is still worth it but keep an open mind regarding careers; examine all possibilities: industry, government, academics.

MBA

And I agree with the comments regarding MBA vs. MAcc. My BS is in accounting, and the MBA has served me well as I work in the healthcare industry.

MBA. I had a few business classes during undergrad (BS in Information Systems) that I liked and those few classes along with just a general interest towards business caused me to want to learn more about it.

MS in Mechanical Engineering with an Automotive Concentration

Going to go back and get my MBA in a few years. Maybe a MS in manufacturing engineering also.
