I guess I missed something somewhere. Why is Meline considered a possible decommit at this point? He seemed solid but, of course I took a couple weeks off of these boards so no telling what has happened since.

I mean evidently this Cobbs kid accidentally committed to UT and then realized he meant to say the other UT while I was out so, there is no telling what else I have missed....

jmva, Broussard would be a place in your mock? Do you not think Riley is a USC lock? You don't think we get C. Jones?

ATM, it depends on Cassius Marsh. If LSU can get Marsh, they probably won't end up offering Broussard and Broussard will stick. LSU is leading for Marsh right now.

As for Riley, its not so much as I think we can get him from USC, its that I feel confident that we can get one of Riley, Cooper, and Dorsey.

And Jones, it depends on who FSU hires at their DC but I think he ultimately ends up there.

I think Marsh is actually committed to LSU.

Really? I know he was committed to Cal then visited LSU and was a heavy lean there. Haven't paid much attention to it recently.

Rivals has him listed as a commit to LSU...

Then I would Broussard sticks with us. Probably a sign and place thing. Really like his upside and athleticism and if we could get him with Orgeron he could really be good. Grades are the only issue.

Also, if this class worked out as you laid it out, where do you think we would rank nationally in recruiting for this class?

Put it this way, I just researched as far back as I could on Rivals, and nobody has ever signed more than 19 4 star recruits, this mock class has 21 4 stars. And a few of our 3 stars may get that magical 4th star. Just saying....

Palardy is a 4* with Scout. Rivals has no clue!!

QB: Tyler Bray

Yes I like no 2nd QB...
RB: Michael Dyer

FB: Channing Fugate

WR: Matt Milton, Markeith Ambles, Kenbrell Thompkins

It sure seems like we still have a chance with a few studs, but I understand why you say we are done.

TE: Dakota Mosley, Ken Adams

You think Mosley is moving to OL? We lose D Jones which would be a real shame because I love him, you think it is grades or he wants to head elsewhere?

OL: JaWuan James, Chaz Green, Jose Jose, Zach Fulton, John Cullen

You agree with X that we are not taking more than this group. You also agree with me that M Pair is going elsewhere.

DE: Corey Miller, Jacques Smith, Corey Lemonier, JC Copeland

I am surprised you think Copeland is sticking with this class if Lemonier comes. I would think he would be headed elsewhere.

DT: Brandon Willis, Pat Harris, John Brown, Calvin Smith, Risean Broussard

Broussard I understand if you mean R Broussard (sign and place) which means he is not a part of our final class but we want him later when he gets done with his academics. Although like one time Auburn commit Ken Adams, things could change in the next two years. Pat Harris also seems like a grades problem, which is I think why we are still so hard after so many stud DT prospects.

LB: Jeff Luc, Michael Taylor

Sad times that Mickey Andrews is stepping down. I just am hoping for Jimmy Clausen, make his own way and name for himself thing with Christian Jones. You have Ralph off to Ole Miss also?

DB: Dequan Menzie, Demetrius Wright, Demar Dorsey/ Corey Cooper/ Dietrich Riley

I want Wright and Dixon. I also would not hate Stephenson and Dixon. I think long term Texas will be good to us. D M and D Wright we both agree on, although I think if we could only get Dixon if Stephenson came also, I think it would be Dixon and Stephenson and Wright.

ATH: Ted Meline

This is a guy who just came so far out of nowhere I really would not be surprised if he did not stick. This is also though because I have us picking up 1 more WR like a Dunkley Stills kind of stud and you do not.

K: Michael Palardy

IMO

I like your class alot.

Replacing Cobbs with Thompkins actually helped our "rating" if thats ho you wanna look at it. Cobbs was a 5.9 on Rivals, and Thompkins is a 6.0.

Wow. Great list. I think with the injuries to LBs we've had this year the staff will put an emphasis on LBs and we'll have 3 at least. I hope the third is Christian Jones but there's still a fighter's chance w/ LaDarius Owens, C.J. Mosley and maybe even Corey Nelson. Also, if we start pilling on the top-of-our-board commits like many think we will then I could see us letting go of some of the potential non-qualifiers (Ralph Williams you accounted for but not Pat Harris and Broussard). Finally, you've included our two main package deals (Dyer/Mosley and Lemonier/Smith). I hope Mosley and C. Smith are worthy of the two scholly's (not saying they're not, but...)
Nice list, jmva. You really seem to know your sh1t.
