Three keys:
1) Play in the spring
2) Allow college players
3) Make it fun but make it Football

Also got to get a solid TV deal

Also needs an emphasis of having been franchises in markets that currently do not have NFL teams.

There's likely going to be North Korean, Russian, and Iranian franchises.

He might but with him it’s probably an angle, then will have player sit/kneel to cause a stir.

I thought about that. Creating a villain type of team that sits.

But will the games be rigged so they eventually lose?

Those sound like good starting points. I don't know how the whole targeting/concussion stuff will translate over to the XFL, but I hope they're able to find a better solution than the NFL. There's too many controversial calls... Which leads to my next point- I sincerely hope they put more of an emphasis on letting the players actually play than letting the officiating crew decide the outcome of a game on penalties that are 50/50 calls. Of course this is all assuming it isn't the football version of the WWE where everything is staged.

But for the love of all that is good I hope they don't have commercial breaks every 3 plays like the NFL does.

It will crash and burn, the best possibility they had was to get Manziel, Kaep, and Tebow on three teams and use them for ratings and in the first 5 minutes he eliminated the two best QBs of the bunch.

By saying you MUST stand for the national anthem (which Vince said) then saying they aren't being political they're basically being hypocritical from the start and fans aren't stupid, at least most fans aren't. Plenty of the MAGA people will buy into it.

But the biggest one is no Criminal history whatsoever. That's a ton of college and NFL talent. So a misd for something when a guy was 16 stops him from playin at 24 years old? Just illogical to bar ALL of them. If he'd said no felonies or no hitting women, etc. then he'd have something.

But hey, he wants to waste 100 million. Go for it. More power to him. But just thinking what even a thousand dollars can do for some people makes it disgusting how much some get to waste.

It's official ... Vince McMahon is bringing back the XFL -- and Tim Tebow already has an invite to play.

The WWE honcho made the announcement Thursday afternoon ... saying the new XFL will launch in 2020 and will focus on more exciting football with zero political distractions.

That means players will be required to stand for the National Anthem.

Vince says the league will launch with 8 teams -- 40-man rosters -- and nobody with a criminal background will be eligible to play. Vince says the quality of the individual matters as much as the quality of the play.

When asked specifically about 3 players -- Johnny Manziel, Tim Tebow, and Colin Kaepernick -- Vince danced around Johnny and Colin ... but extended a casual invitation to Tebow.

I actually don't have a problem with his anthem stance because he stated as their employer, he can dictate the policy. Which is why I've never had a problem with the NFL's stance: if they allow it, then so be it. If the NFL bans, or I guess more specifically enforces their guidelines, so be it.

I think the criminal thing he's going to backtrack a bit. He said "criminal record", I think he'll specify felonies and maybe even just specific crimes like domestic abuse.

We have 2 years until kickoff, so a lot can change, including if it even actually ever happens.

Some things I would:

Ban special teams. No punting, no kickoff, no EXP’s. No field goals. Let’s go crazy.

10 minutes quarters, two TO’s per half.

No huddling allow. Free substitutions.

All-22 camera angle for the main feed of the game.

I think this sounds fun, especially the part about having shorter games. Now bring Knoxville a team :D

Ban extra points, but not punts and kickoffs. Make them kick off from the 20 so you can actually get some exciting returns.

If they required players to sign concussion damage waivers, I guarantee you they would still get rosters filled. If somebody wants to play under those circumstances, that is their business. When it boils down to it, a lot of guys will do anything to get paid to play football.

Vince isn't stupid he sees the ratings of the NFL going down the drain and how they have treated the Military & Law Enforcement. He also knows who the WWE fanbase is and most are Flag waving folks. Vince is also big buddies with WWE HOF President Trump!

I'm a MAGA person!
