If you are looking for information from "people in the know," why on God's Earth are you reading anything by the college football staff at ESPN.com? There are trained chimpanzees with more insight.

Slaton has a passing counterpart and plays in a very weak conference. He will be ripping off huge games. AP plays in a marginally tougher conference and has no passing game to back him up.

He's currently projected to have just over 1,000 yards and under 10 TD's... He's been quiet since they played Washington State, he's already lost the Heisman, barring a historic second half of the season.

Doesn't have a quality NFL level gun.

I'm not counting him out. Simply don't see him as an elite pro prospect.

7 point victory, 1 more than USC's result against the team Auburn hung 40 on.

What's kinda funny is Auburn had a lot better team two years ago, but could never break the top two spots. Now this year they're ranked no. two with not near the passing game they had then.
