I'm very excited about this upcoming year. Lots of questions/storylines that I'm interested to see how they play out.

You mean after Stokes, Maymon, Golden, whomever gets the backup PG minutes and Hall keeping his head straight, then McRae is the key. Right?

I mean exactly what I said. Stokes and Maymon give us an interior presence. In order for them to be effective and have space to work, we have to have an outside scorer, and McRae is the most skilled perimeter scorer on our team.

Not really. He has shown flashes of potential (sadly mostly in the RTL) but he has not put it together for more than one or two games. Golden is by far this teams most proven perimeter scorer. And as much as people hate to admit it, McBee is a more efficient scorer than McRae to this point Compare College Basketball Players - StatSheet.com . Again, athletism does not equal skill. McRae is a 33% 3pt shooter, that's not an outside scorer.

If you polled this board, or scouts, and asked who has the potential to be the best wing player, golden, mcbee or McRae???wht percentage do you think pick mcbee?

Yes we all realize mcbee has "proven" more han jordy, we all admit that. However, most see he potential jordy has, and it's a potential mcbee can't even sniff. Mcbees ceiling is about where he is, Jordan's ceiling is a 15ppg a night, solid rebounder/defender, 1st team all sec player. That's why people are saying, if he can play to his potential, it would benefit us much more than having the same wing play as last year.

McRae is a scorer, not a shooter. Because most of his scoring originates from the perimeter (usually via the drive), I consider him a perimeter scorer. We need 3 guys to average 15+ ppg guys on the team, and Golden doesn't need to be one of them. Stokes and Maymon will combine for 30-20 most nights. When Golden tries to do too much he makes bad turnovers, which result in easy points for our opponents. If McRae can step up and average 15 ppg without being a volume shooter, we have a chance to reach 30 wins and make a deep run in the NCAAT. We have no other player on the roster with McRae's size/athleticism that can score like he can...he's the key.

You do realize that Mcbee shot 32% from three his sophomore season. You are confusing production with potential. Mcbee has more production right now but Mcrae is head and shoulders above him on potential.

The reason Mcrae shoots a low percentage is bc he takes bad and forced shots....If he learns to play under control, and improves his basketball knowledge....he can become a dominant player on the court....He has to learn when to shoot, pass, where to get to the spots he needs to be to increase his efficiency....It is the same thing Maymon went through last two seasons and he figured it out...Im hopeful Mcrae can do the same.
