I used to travel hundreds of miles each week and listening to funny CD's was how I passed the miles away. Along with LeRoy Mercer, I had CD's of Roy D. Mercer, Tom Mabe, Willie P. Richardson, Jerky Boys, Jerry Clower, and probably a few others. It sure the Hell beat listening to the radio stations and all the damn commercials.

The famous question of "Well how'd they get wet?" Answer: "Well G** D*** water of course!"

It still amazes me how much of these quotes are still part of my daily life 35-40 years later. For instance, a "set" is the standard form of measurement for any and everything. A set of beers. A set of coffee. A set of golf balls. On and on.

"well just how a big boy are ya?"

"well this dam dog don't know come'er from sic'em"

Dad and I used to listen to the Mercer tapes whenever we were road tripping - hunting, UT games, golf trips...great memories.

I have said "Huh!!!" More times then I can count over the last 30 plus years.

My favorite activity for both prank and telemarket calls was to have a steel pot and steel ladle on hand. When such calls came, I'd beat the pot with the ladle with much enthusiasm. It was very rare for me to get another call from the same person after that. Sadly, I enjoyed doing that because Ah'm jes en ebil parson.
