They've ruled out sepsis and c-dif. They're heavily leaning towards infection in her kidney because of one being swollen. The nurse said the main Dr would look at the CT scan results and talk to her this evening. They do have her white blood cell count down just inside the normal range, and her fever was at 98.8 when I left! I did have me a moment on the way home. I know there's plenty of others worse off than her, but that doesn't help me with worrying about her. This whole kidney/bladder stuff is the big concern with her. She may outlive me by 50 years, and I hope so, but you can't help but think things sometimes. I was just thinking/praying that nothing like that would happen until little bit at least finished school, cause she's a momma's girl. IDK, the sincere fear of losing her over this stuff really Hit me. Like I said she may outlive me, but kidney failure is the#1 cause of death for people like her, and she's already had damage from reflux. That's the main reason for the surgery. I broke down hard, haven't done that in a while, not like that. Sorry to rant, just needed to, and the dog won't listen 😆.

Hey! We've got your back. This place is amazing for those of us who need to fall apart, and know somebody's there to keep us company while we put ourselves back together. Lord knows I did it numerous times when I was worrying about my mom.

Kinda irked. I left and came to work after they said if everything keeps going good they'll let her come home tomorrow. I got a text just a few minutes ago from her. She said after her Dr had came in, that a little while ago some man Dr on their team signed her off to go home cause she's done good the past 24 hours. She said the nurse told him that I had done left, and we were told she was staying until tomorrow. They're sending her home in a hospital shuttle, but still. You can't tell people one thing, then turn around and someone else come in and release her. I may call and show my butt tomorrow.

Sorry, not a good time to joke. That does suck Joe. Just the chaos of sending her home unprepared can cause distress to her body. Hopefully it's not stressing her too bad. I can imagine you are steaming.

Dr sent this to my wife a few minutes ago. Apparently they found this bacteria in her blood cultures. I looked it up, pretty nasty antibiotic resistant bacteria probably caused when they opened her up. IDK, at least they know whether it was caused from the surgery or swollen kidney I'm not sure, just glad they know for sure.
