Prayers for VFL Jabari Greer

I hate it when a player gets injured, no matter the team.

Football is a brutal sport but God do we love it.

Dear Lord,
Please help Jabari recover from the terrible injury he has suffered. Be with him and give him strength and comfort him, as he has a long road ahead to full recovery. You have already blessed him with a wonderful career and caring fans. We ask that you give him a chance to continue.
Amen

Exactly this.

Heard about it on the radio, but have not seen the play. My thoughts and prayers are with my fellow alum.

saw it on Red Zone, at his age probably the end of a nice career. good luck to Jabari.

Agree. He always seemed to get roasted by the fans while at UT but he had a nice career in the NFL.

Hope for the best but that's gonna be tough to recover from if it did damage to the ligaments.

Tough to say from the video I saw if it was just a break or if the knee was damaged as well. If it got his knee, I'd say ACL, MCL, and PCL are all torn up.

prayers? come on man. I think people throw that around too much. He injured his ankle. Not his neck. His long term health isn't in any jeopardy...just his season. Save your prayers for the people in the Philippines. Or the people who lost loved ones or homes to the tornados today. I hate hearing this prayers for this guys ankle or knee.

looked like the only way a leg could bend that way is tibula or patella tendon rupture. prayers to him for a speedy and healthy recovery.

Here's an idea how about we pray for the people in the Phillipines , those affected by the tornados AND for Greer to have a speedy recovery . No one said you had to pray for him . If u don't feel the need get bent while others do what they have the free will to do .

I don't mean to be hateful about it. Just saying asking people to take the time to specify pray for an athlete who injured his ankle playing a game that's made him millions of dollars... It just seems ridiculous. That phrase just irks me. It should be reserved for a greater cause imo

We will have to agree to disagree on the topic . I don't believe there is anything to big or to small to offer up in prayer . Regardless of what he makes or does for a living . Yeah he may not be deathly ill but he could suffer the rest of his life and never be the same . See Bo Jackson.

I'm sorry that you are only offered a limited amount of prayers that you can use.

Prayer police? And you know little about PE's and other issues that can arise from injury or surgery and cause immediate and unexpected death. Infection, bone healing, malunion, nonunion, therapy, etc, not to mention his career is probably over and now he must find what he needs to do to support his family.
My guess is you freak out and ask for prayers for a Christmas bonus, so don't tell others what they can and can't do.

Just saw tough break. Good news is I had same injury. He can come back from it. Most likely got 2 to 3 ligament tears completely. I didn't have surgery and walk normally. He is a highly conditioned athlete and will have surgery. He will be good as new. I remember him but thought he played rb at tn

Since you set aside so much time for minor issues... Would you please offer up a prayer for my kids dog. Hes seems to have a pretty bad case of diarrhea. Heck pray for me too regarding this. I'm the one cleaning it up. Thanks
