I'll say a 1 or 2 seed.

Probably not, the NIT doesnt usually give the top seeds to the best teams that were borderline. Chances are we get a 3-5 depending on who else doesnt make it. Like If drexel doesnt get in, even tho they are a bubble, they would probably be a 5 seed. Doesnt make sense, depends on how, when, and where they can squeeze the most money out of this tourney.

on a side note, the NIT is nowhere near as good as it was even 5 years ago. Its a joke. It was actually a good tourney many years ago when the NCAA tourney had 32 teams. Now, Its a joke.

Youe right Tennessee wouldn't be one of the highest value teams in the NIT.

6/6 tourneys with Coach Pearl

0/1 Post Pearl. ARE YOU GUYS HAPPY NOW?!?!?!?! WE WERE SPOILED NOW WERE BACK TO BEING AVERAGE.

Yes. I like having a good coach that doesn't that lie to their governing body and get the school put on probation.

Maybe that's just me though.

Never mind the fact that Martin inherited a team projected to finish second from the bottom in the SEC, but finished second from the top. Cuonzo Martin was the one cleaning up the mess that Bruce Pearl left behind. Then again, he doesn't go around acting like an ass-clown on every single camera in sight, so he's a failure.

It's hard to believe sh*tball teams like Washington and Seton Hall are still in the tourney because there are so many average teams on the bubble. The Pac-12 is just one big bowl of suck. The SEC isn't great, but I'd bet USCjr would've probably finished mid pack in that horrible conference.

Next year, Martin better never schedule a mid-major on the road because it does very little for you. You're expected to win and if you lose then you are penalized. UT's SOS is one of the best but the committee looks at record more than SOS when they need to look at who you are beating.

I really hope they get a rematch with Ole Miss. Next time maybe we can rip, hack and foul every trip down court without any fouls being called.

would an NIT championship be a better end to the season than a 1st or 2nd round elimination in the NCAA?

Somewhere between not really and a push. (definitely not vs 2nd round NCAA)

However, compared to the under .500, season completely ending in March position this team was at in January, both are/would have been quite positive

No way we get NCAA. I really shouldnt post my feelings about this till a nights sleep to overcome the sting of this one. I don't want to post anything to disrespect this team after the monstrous hill they climbed just to get here.

So yeah stuff I read seems to be anywhere from 2-3 seed. 1 is a possibility; 4 is a lesser

How many games get played at home?
