Your earned the right to be here, so don't miss a moment of it. Relax and remain in the moment through the end.

When you step out on the field, before you think anything baseball, take it all in. Take a moment to think about how you'll want to describe this moment to your grandchildren... the colors, the smells, the noises, what your teammates are doing... and then close the memory book and go have fun.

And when a "big" moment comes, trust your preparation. There's nothing you have to do extra to own the moment. You earned this. You're ready. Enjoy being successful.

since I am no motivational speaker here are my points
- the season was not what the fans expected
- you came in 7th in the SEC
- in the SEC tournament you let a team that did not even finish 500 in league play make you look like @^*(^%$#
- this team was placed in the Clemson regional which means that you are considered about the 35-40 best team in the country.
- was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? It ain't over now, 'cause when the goin' gets tough, the tough get goin'. Who's with me?
The lowest 2 seed would be the 32nd best team….

Texas A&M made the SECT Championship so they clearly are not a bad team.

8 SEC schools are hosting this weekend and we finished 7th. Yeah we are horrible 🙄

Tennessee was a consensus top-20 ranked team at season’s end and our placement in Clemson’s Regional has nothing to do with how the committee viewed our team. Geography is a determining factor also. If the committee thought so low of us they would have shipped us out to Stanford.

Something tells me I would not want to be your mule. Your racing car, maybe.

You're 18,19,20 years old. You may never be in this situation again as tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Lay it on the line and give it everything you have, for yourself and your teammates.
Look back with great memories and no regrets.

Is that because it is time to mix it up txbo or you just afraid the checkerboard will catch on when we make our run?;)
LOL. I'm going to break character for a moment and say I like that it makes you easy to find on TV. It was fun looking for Mrs Feathersax and her scorecard as well as you and your checkerboards.

1.The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our pitchers, our catcher, our lead and our ball game.

5. Catch, throw, hit, and run….for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the hitting game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 9 innings.

Baseball edit.

I keep sayin'... when dealing with the lucky talismans and orange-magic rally charms, be careful that you try things you won't mind repeating for the rest of the season!

If your lucky NC pants you wore in 1998 are two sizes too small now... don't go there! If we lose, your lucky pants will have lost their power, and if we win, you'll be bustin' a gut for the rest of the season while your misery-motivated subconscious is hoping we lose.

Gentlemen, gather around! Today is a day that will define us as a team. We stand on the brink of greatness, on the precipice of victory. Our preparation, dedication, and hard work have brought us to this moment, and now it's time to unleash our full potential. I want you to take a deep breath and soak in the energy that surrounds us.

Remember why we are here. We didn't come this far to only come this far. We have battled through adversity, faced setbacks, and conquered obstacles together. Our journey has shaped us into the resilient, determined, and united team that stands before me today. Believe in the power of what we can achieve when we come together as one.

The moment we step onto that field, we leave everything behind. Our doubts, fears, and distractions are left in the locker room. This is our arena, our battleground. It's time to play the game we love with everything we've got. Each one of you has trained relentlessly, honing your skills and pushing your limits. Trust in your abilities and let them shine today.

Baseball is a game of strategy, technique, and precision. But it's also a game of passion, heart, and relentless effort. Play every pitch, every swing, and every catch with the fire that burns within you. Remember the countless hours of practice, the early mornings, and late nights. All those sacrifices have led us here. Let that fuel your desire to excel.

But remember, baseball is not an individual sport. We win together, we lose together. We're a brotherhood, a family, and we've got each other's backs. Lift each other up, support one another, and never lose faith. The true strength of a team lies in its unity, its unwavering belief in each other.

Today, let's make our presence felt on that field. Let's show our opponents what we're made of. Play with the intensity that sets us apart, the determination that can't be shaken. When you step up to that plate, see yourself as the hero who can change the game with a swing of the bat. When you take the field, become an impenetrable wall, leaving nothing but frustration in the wake of the opposition.

Remember, champions are not born overnight. It's the countless hours of hard work, the persistence, and the will to never give up that defines them. Today, we will fight for every run, every out, and every victory. Leave no doubt in anyone's mind that we are the team to beat.

As we step onto that field, I want you to play with all your heart, leaving nothing behind. Trust your instincts, trust your training, and trust each other. When the final pitch is thrown, we will have no regrets, for we gave it our all.

Now, let's go out there and seize this moment. This is our time to shine. Believe in yourselves, believe in your teammates, and let's bring home that championship! Together, we are unstoppable!
