Predicted close in January/February

assume you're talking about HT?

well, he's not going to announce until he signs in feb, so it's going the distance. it's Bama or us. conventional wisdome says that if it's literally down to a choice between the two, he's going to choose Bama.

we'll see though. i think we're doing everything we can to get him.
Bama already has 26. How many more can they take?

A
Wright
Crouch
Bogle
To'oto'o
would be a good finish in my book.
We are not getting Bogle, and To`oto`o is prob staying out west. It's still better than a good class if we get Wright and Crouch. Remember Crouch was still guaranteed to go to Clemson a week and a half ago. The staff did WORK to get that swung in our favor.

1. Darnell Wright 99.9%
2. Quevaris Crouch 90% if he signs this week if not 50%
3. NOT Nick Figueroa signed with usc
4. Henry To'oto'o 50 / 50 @ best prolly more like 70 / 30 Bama
5. Jammie Robinson 40 to 50 %

To’oto’o is not staying out west. It’s widely believed to be a 2-team race between UT and Bama. Your point about Crouch is why I think UT could land HT. Once he gets on campus, all bets are off. This staff can really sway a kid once he visits, just like they did with Crouch. If he feels at home in Knoxville...and Kevin Simon is key to that...he very well could end up in orange.

Agree with you on Bogle, unless his mom finally says the decision is his.

"look, i never come here until signing day or after signing day and i don't want to do any research.

could y'all just put together a list of everyone that has signed or going to sign and do this quickly. i"ll hang up and listen..."

Right now, Tennessee has 21 commits. I think Cox will defect (or not qualify). Just has that feel. Jeremy Pruitt used the 25 number at halftime of the Bama game, so I'm going with 25, meaning we add 5 to this class (I think we'll hang onto Henry). I'll go with (in order of how certain I am):

1. Darnell Wright
2. Quevaris Crouch
3. NOT Nick Figueroa
4. Henry To'oto'o
5. Jammie Robinson

Not sure where that would put us rankings-wise, but it would almost certainly land Tennessee in the top 10.

What are y'all's predictions?
We need Wright and To'oto'o the most, i want Crouch to but we need the other 2 more.

I think with Dean going to UGA, that opens the door for HT to Bama.

I think this is also why Crouch moved up his announcement as he will be the only 4-year LB this class unless we somehow flip Bogle.

IMO...we add Wright, Toot Toot and Robinson...we drop Henry, Harris (hope I’m wrong) and Cox...22 total, leave the other spots for transfers and next years class

19 signed plus a grad transfer 5* from Michigan puts us at 20. Plus 2 that are hard commits and Cox that may or may not get in.
That's 22 solid so 3 more at best maybe 2.

5* OL is likely so 1-2 spots to give
Those spots or spot are the question

IMO...Solomon took Cox’s spot...Henry is absolutely not a hard commit and will be gone soon...Harris is hard to call at this point...

I think if we put a Crouchian effort into Toot Toot we’ll get him...I think if we push for Jammie we get him...those two replace Henry and Harris

I'd like to get Harris. Is it grades with him, or is he considering a flip?

I'd like to think the noise we generated this week will get the attention of some more top-flight talent, but we'll see...

From what I’ve read the speculation is that it could be either...I hope it’s not true and he sticks and qualifies

I still don't see 22 guys coming in much less 25. But Pruitt says it so I will see it happen. But even with Wright and Too'Too and Jamie it's still the 5th class in the SEC. That's insane to me

We have 23 spots without blueshirting anyone. How can you see us taking less than 22 makes zero 'scents'.

23 with the forward counting the late additions from last year? And we had one last year not get in that still counted towards the cap if memory serves.

I'm just piecing together the bits form a years worth of numbers and by no means am I as up to speed as some on this but my basic linear math doesn't match watch the expected results should be. I'm sure the AD staff has highly trained professionals on it to make it work but to the layman putting conversations from last years and this years numbers at some point the numbers don't add up for us simple folks.

Yes, we have at least 23 without blueshirting.

Thanks for clearing that up with an easy to follow breakdown. Us simple folks need that. No messy explanation, just a simple answer. That definitely put my questions to bed. No need to show your work to me sir. Again thanks

Yes...speaking of HT. He will get immediate PT at UT, something he won't at Bama. That's something to keep in mind.

He will with certainty get to appear in 4 SECCG while at Bama and appear in at least 2 NCAA championship games.

That is something he won't get at UT
