It is the system we are in, a progressive tax tax.
We need to do away with the progressive system and go to a flat tax for all income above the poverty level with zero deductions or loopholes.

Crap! True poverty should include not being able to afford cable TV, an IPhone, spinners, selling food stamps for beer money, ext.

Our poor are not poor! Granted there are those out who cannot do for themselves but my guess is 90% of those below the poverty line are there due to their own decisions. Why should my money go to those who make dumb decisions and refuse to help better themselves?

No, just finance our cruises, boats and other fine things we own.

Not to mention the 20% of our income we donate per year.

Only you know if donating 20% is the correct amount for you. It depends on your financial situation and how much you want to help your charities.
I would think 20% is more than the majority of Americans can afford to donate.

if you don't do this think about it. I am sure there are some young single mothers living in some of those section 8 apartments you wife manages.

This year at Christmas spend a little money on those kids living there. I guarantee you will get a blessing just seeing the excitement of those kids opening a gift. Something I learned from a little boy, do not buy clothes- kids do not like clothes...lol

Unlike the gov't, I do believe in self responsibility, you should have to work your way out of bad decisions and not be supported for making more.

What I don't like is the POS monitor that deletes my posts for no reason.

The next Romney/Obambi debate will be run by CNN (Communist News Network), the questions will come from undecided voters chosen by Gallup (a well known leftist polling group), what do you think the questions will be?
