I know. But you know how this forum works. 99% of the users only come on here when there's negativity with the program. I think CCM is a good guy but I'm not a fan of him being the coach. If I'm wrong about the ole miss game then there's no since in bashing the program by posting negative post.

Dude, just be happy if we finish strong. If we don't, then everyone will be over it, and we'll be able to move on. "Knoxville's finest" would at least support the team if we can take care of business.

There's not a single poster here that wants us to suck. The people calling for Martin to be fired immediately are just butthurt, and the people willing to see what happens are just acknowledging that the season isn't over yet. We shouldn't have as many losses ass we do right now. This season has overall been disappointing, but it's not a failure- that's still to be determined. It could go either way, but there's absolutely no need to write anything off at this point. Be a man and cheer for the Vols.

Cheer leaders cheer regardless of the circumstance. Men stand up when they realize there is something wrong. Everyone besides you and a hand full can see that the wrong person is in charge of our basketball team. If you are wanting to earn your palm palms then keep up the good work.

The only way UT has a better chance than Missouri is by SOS and RPI. Missouri has a big win over UCLA but a really bad loss to low RPI Georgia.

Let me try this one again...TENNESSEE HAS 2 WINS BETTER THAN ANY WIN THAT MISSOURI CURRENTLY HAS, INCLUDING UCLA.

Most realize that Martin would be more comfortable in a low to mid major somewhere.
We also realize than changing horses mid stream is a bad idea.
Then there is door #3. People who are willing to suffer the rest of his contract hoping Butch is making some money for a decent hire when the time comes.

I don't believe in suffering in one sport in hopes on another sport. Under BP, basketball brought in plenty of money to the university. You can say we can't afford a buyout but all that works out in the wash. TBA is averaging 7000 less in attendance than under BP.

I'd be less concerned about a buy out and more concerned about how much money there is to lure a name that will bring life back to a dead program.
We don't have the big money boosters in BB that we do in fb. No one cares.

Obviously that has always been a concern. Having the finances necessary to make a big time name listen has not been a luxury that our basketball program has had even before martin. Even with that in mind the powers that be need to figure out how they are going to raise the cash necessary to stop the bleeding because the financial situation WILL NOT get any better if he is retained.

No I clearly quoted the whole post. To sum it up the rest was some type of pseudo psychology message about being happy and waiting until the season is over before you are upset.

There is no reason to be happy with what this team has accomplished nor have any hope that there will be a miracle turn around. Just for the sake of argument even IF this team finished strong and squeaked into the tourney that was not anybodies expectation for this team and rightfully so. Why not just call it like it?

We don't hire big name coaches in any sport. We hire the young and upcoming. Will Wade is a prime example of a realistic front runner. Young, winning at a mid major, and only making 200k.

I think it's going to determine how many SEC schools go this year.

If 3 teams are "tied" for that 4/5 place, do they look at the conference play or overall play?

The NCAA doesn't care about conference standings. The SEC is down and could only get 3 teams in (maybe 4) but they'll take two if other conferences have better resumes. They are only required to take 1.

So you'd trade a guy with no resume for a guy that had about the same qualifications at MS when we hired him.

What has UT done to be in the discussion...they have a lot of work to do starting with tonights game sir...I wish you were more constructive on UT BBall and not so favorable as you always are...
