"The Chiefs had me in at 4.18 and mostly, I think the range was 4.18 to 4.26 but I'll go ahead and take that 4.18," Stallworth told NFL.com.

The sources I'm getting are saying 4.18...

I know it's early... but this is just fun. Here are my predictions... and I know some of them may be a stretch, but hey, I'm a positive thinking Vol fan.

Round 1:
Justin Harrell

Rounds 2-3:
Robert Meachem (if he leaves-- which I really hope he doesn't)
Arron Sears
Jonathan Wade

Rounds 4-5:
Turk McBride
Marvin Mitchell
Jayson Swain

Rounds 6-7:
Antwan Stewart
Bret Smith
James Wilhoit

Likely to be picked up as free agents:
Cory Anderson
Matt McGlothlin

What are your thoughts?

I assume that happened if that's what it says. I'm not doubting you. But running with spikes on TN's indoor turf with handheld stop watches isn't what I would go by.

If you ever look at the combine you'll notice that 4.4 is about as fast as it gets. Occassionally you'll see a guy in the high 4.3s but it isn't very common.

John Capel of FL, for instance, was a world class sprinter flirting
with the Olympics. He ran a 4.37 at the combine.

These times are overrated anyway, but I always temper my enthusiasm for those crazy times. But what it does say is that Dante is very, very fast. But I never meant to call you idiot or anything, but I do question the validity of any 4.18.

The DB's will be the biggest loss, we are developing some good depth almost every where else that will be ready next year. I think Ainge will consider going Pro for the same reasons that Meach will be looking at; who else is coming out and how much will they pay me.

Bill King discussed this a little bit the other day. He said the scouts he talked with think Ainge needs another year to cash in. He's still too green to go really high. However, the scout(s) did say they think he'll be a 1st round pick when he does come out.

I agree with this line of thinking. Don't you throw the USC WR into the equation as well. What year is Jarrett? The thing that might keep Meach in school is if those guys come out I think that he is the #1 WR taken in '08 and that could mean a significant jump in pay.
Jarrett is a JR as well...can't see all 4 of these guys coming out early...but all 4 will likely see an NFL roster early in whatever draft they come out in.

i'd say Meach is at the biggest disadvantages, only from a familiarity stand point....Eveyone's been hearing about the other three guys for the better part of two years now.

This is Meach's break out season...and he could cash in, but i think only if the other three stay. If all 4 come out...wow.
