I am a huge fan of CDD and the things that we are doing right now with the program. I just wanted y'all to know that. It seems to me that this happens every year, especially over the last couple. EVERYBODY starts out with very somber predictions for the season (5 or 6 or 7 wins). As the off season progresses and news rolls in, people usually start adding wins to that total to the tune of about 1 per month. I'm not doubting your predictions. I am thinking we will have a better year than most believe. I am just simply remarking on what I have noticed. Has anyone else seen this trend?

There is not a chance in Hell that UT will be in the preseason top 25. If you are referring to what we will look like after the season is done and in retrospect, then sure its a possibility.

This isnt a projected preseason top 25. This also is not a projected end of season top 25. This is my personal opinion on who the best 25 teams in America are.

Oh ok, gotcha. I would have to disagree with you since I see at least ten teams better than UT that are not in your top 25

So with our schedule, would 8 wins make us a top 25 team?

If TN goes 3-0, with all those games at home in Neyland, TN will be ranked in the top 20. The opportunity is there.

Go VOLS!

masoli-less oregon at 2?

Dixon, masoli...who next? Darron Thomas. Costa looks to be in control but I think Thomas will permanently replace costa about the time Bray permanently replaces simms. Mid second qtr, september 11th in Neyland stadium.

There are some real stretches in that list but that's just my opinion. Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas and even Florida all have unproven players and inexperience at the qb position. Texas had no real threat at rb last year, combine that with the issues generally encountered when breaking in a new qb and it would seem to me that this projection is simply too high.

I like optimism as much as the next guy but placing our depleted roster inside the top 25 seems rather naive to say the least.

Yes I believe if we win 8 against our schedule we deserve at least to be 25. That's my prediction, 7-5 with a bowl win.

How can you predict a bowl win? Im talking about regular season. I go back and forth between 7-5 and 8-4. Right now im feeling an upset in death valley so ill go with 8-4

Because usually when you have a 7-5 season you don't play the Virginia Techs of the world in a bowl game. 8 wins is definitely doable. I want to know your logic on why you have USCjr at 13.

Because I think they are going to be good this year. I only see 12 teams that I think are better than them in the main reason.

I love Tennessee, and I have honestly thought that I was much more optimistic than most...

However, this is ridiculous and I hope you are prepared for disappointment. I get that you are allowed to have your opinion, but you regularly get mad at people just for disagreeing with you. If you are prepared to always give your opinion than be prepared for people to feel differently.
