At present, I find myself less interested in whom Trump appoints than what he does with the hooligans currently occupying office. There are several cabinet secretaries who have committed clear perjury under oath before Congress and that must be answered for.

First thing Trump should do now is put out a statement telling all offices of the Federal Government that he will be performing a full audit of all actions taken against himself over the past 8 years and telling all agencies to preserve all relevant records and documents. Give a hotline number for whistleblowers to report any attempts by their agency to destroy or hide said documents

Would TX gov name another "R" to replace Cruz? An individual who is electable next time? Although Cruz will be Sec for max four years and conceivably run for Senate again in 2030.
