Methinks you don't understand the difference between progressive and regressive forms of taxation.
I'm all in favor of progressive taxation, as it redistributes wealth from those who sit on it (the rich) to those who inject it immediately into economic activity (the poor).
Tariffs operate as a regressive tax, meaning the poor will pay out more of their income on tariff taxes than the rich.
This is not really controversial at this point:

Economic growth more likely when wealth distributed to poor instead of rich
The economic case for maintaining a progressive income tax structure and targeting welfare payments to those most in need is overwhelmingwww.theguardian.com
You can argue with the data if you want to. Show me the data that says increasing wealth disparities between the rich and the poor is good for the health of the economy. I'll wait ....I don’t know any “rich“ people who just sit on their money. They have it out there working for them, making more.

This is not hard stuff.
The wealth gap argument is ridiculous. The wealth gap ALWAYS increases over time no matter who is in office. It is a direct result of the fact that wealthy people don't sit on piles of cash. They invest almost all of their wealth and earn a return on those assets. Poor people are using their money to buy basic necessities to survive. They have no money or very little money invested. As a result, the wealth gap continuously grows wider over time. It’s not good in any way but the wealth gap always increases with Dems in control, look up.
Walking talking up/down hypocrisy and all living breathing contradictions. No punctuation needed.Hell hath no fury like rednecks upset America elected a black man. They're willing to burn it all down.
Serious question Huff. One of my daughter’s friends from school has decided he’s going to do a Mormon mission trip to Guam for two years. He’s under the impression that it’s going to be a two year vacation. That's the easy one to reconcile. Issues like immigration, Israel/Palestine, and just the general behavior and attitudes of the right are the things I can't reconcile with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
