President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I've been around people who pray to a god which is not YHHY. The courteous thing to do is to be quiet and not interrupt an act they consider sacred. It's also normal to understand not everyone prays, prays the same, or prays to the same being. There is no reason to be irritated by it.
One time at a UT football game, someone prayed to the insects and bugs. 😂.

Fat Bastard is worried about democracy and grocery prices ( where was this during the last four years?).

Was he worried about democracy during covid when he locked down his state and his wife took off to Florida?

Of course it's pandering but since when is pandering unconstitutional as you have erroneously claimed.
go back and check it. I never said it was unconstitutional. all I said was separation of church and state. McDad brought up the Constitution. to which I responded prayer was a bad idea whether or not its in the Constitution.

yall just making up stuff to defend every little thing Trump does.

prayer is a bad idea because it takes away from what should be going on in the government.

that is the standalone point you guys have been trying to deflect away from. thrown out several red herrings, and doing everything but honestly engage with what I actually said.

I thought you were all "libertarian"? Please tell me you are not going all liberaltarian like most libertarians are. I don't think it's wise to ever assume what is in someone's heart, good or bad. If you think he/they are virtue signaling that's fine. But to declare with 100% certainty that they are not genuine, that's your problem not theirs.
what does me thinking Trump having a prayer in a meeting is a bad idea have to do with being any sort of libertarian? this isn't their private lives, this is them as government officials. and despite the claims to otherwise there is no way this board would be ok with a muslim prayer, or a prayer to satan in the same circumstances.

your argument is that you trust a bunch of politicians, social media influencers, and millionaires/billionaires when they are selling Jesus to you; and questioning them is the more assumptive move than flat trusting them?

any of those clowns walked outside and told us the sky was blue, I would check before I believed them. Trump sells gold plated bibles and you think he has found Jesus in some meaningful way. like I said, the Bible teaches against the very thing Trump is doing if you want to take the religious side of the argument.

What do you not understand about freedom of and not freedom from?
what do you not understand about they are public figures, not pastors at a church?

this board lit up Biden anytime his Catholic faith was brought up, mocked Obama anytime he tried to do something Christian. heck probably a quarter of this forum didn't want that "muzzie" in charge. but now that Trump is selling Jesus, its not only kosher but has to be defended.

Libertarian ideology is to let people do what they want as long as it isn't harming anyone. Unless you are on Luther's side and it hurts your feelings seeing people pray in public then it isn't harming anyone. Being offended by someone praying isn't Libertarian whether one is an atheist, agnostic, or a person of ANY faith.

And, where did I say I trusted anyone? I'm just not judging a person's intent. I personally don't trust anyone I don't know personally.

I'll ask you the same question I asked Luther, are you offended with by the Muslim calls to prayer? Are you offended when Muslims knell and face Mecca?
