President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Agreed. The information is considered whatever they need it to be based on the circumstances.

Am I wrong in thinking that politicians could earn a lot of respect by admitting openly to mistakes instead of side-stepping???
Yeah I think so because the MsM would put the hammer down on them at that point and incessantly call for his head. This will blow over just like Hillary's server and Joe's garage.

Lol. So the Atlantic doesn’t want to “smear” anyone? If they fire someone will that satisfy you? Of course not.
Jeffrey Goldberg absolutely does want to smear Donald Trump and he has a long history of doing so .... which makes it so stupid that Mike Waltz invited Goldberg into that group chat. If I was a Trump supporter (LOL!!!!), I would be confused as to why Mike Waltz hasn't already been fired.

Nope .... but admitting to mistakes goes against the Trump philosophy. His response to mistakes has always been to never accept responsibility for them, deflect and double down.

You are right. This will blow over, and a month from now, we will be talking about some other stupid fiasco that either Trump or one of his cabinet members is involved in.

As opposed to whom? Which politician has? Bush and WMD’s? Obama and your doctor? Biden runs circles around everyone? It’s just par for the course,no?

Yes .... but Trump actually put that philosophy in writing in his book "The Art of the Deal." Never admit to a mistake or apologize for anything.

It won't mean jack to the hard Left but people of a moderate take (swing voters) would probably appreciate less "whatabout" and more a "unlike our opposition" approach of acknowledging goofs and openly explaining how they are being prevented going forward.

Not that I think it was, but what if it was a setup from the get-go? From what I read, there wasn't enough specific information to warn anyone of an impending attack, but there was enough to warrant it being classified. So what if Goldbug had released it?

Even without specific targets listed, know the timing and method could have given the Houthis a chance to scramble, particularly their senior leadership.

I understand physically modifying contacts. Someone takes his phone and puts the contact in or edits an existing. I don't think it is likely just based on how I use (lock) my phone. I don't give it to other people, either.

I don't understand how it happens remotely.
You could look it up on chatGPT or Grok or whatever. It’s possible for a regular device. Again I’m not sure what extra measures a device like his would have to prevent that from happening but it’s possible.

Physically? Yeah that only happens if someone on his staff had access to his phone.

Simple answer is he had Goldberg in his contacts for whatever reason and added him by mistake or intentionally. I lean towards this but simply saying there are other possibilities.

Really, what's up with the cosplay in this administration? That's all it is. Noem, Hegseth (workouts with Navy seals), and now Vance.

Isn’t this thread worthy?

What's the point? The board would fall into the predictable camps:

1) The Crypto Is Garbage (CIG) Group, who would agree its nonsense no matter who was behind it.

2) The Crypto Is Awesome (CIA) Group, who would say its about time we had more options to invest in for it.

3) The Anything Trump Does Is Just Magical (TDIJM) sub-Group, who believe he's on a Mission from God so, while they won't personally invest in this charade, hope others do to reaffirm their faith in the Almighty.

I am thinking the approach would connect with the public in spite of the MSM. I mean, if they're going scorched earth regardless, why not take a different approach?

See post #18,736 up above.
1. Just having a contact in your phone???? Seriously? A journalist calls me for a story maybe a year or two ago….I save his contact so I know who is calling me in the future.
2. AND YOU TRUST GOLDBRG????? After all the lies he has said?

Still waiting for proof.

To each their own. If you didn’t get in on bitcoin early I don’t think any of it is worth the hassle.

I can see that you want to spin it as being something completely normal, but it is very strange that Mike Waltz had Jeffrey Goldberg's contact information saved on his phone, and even stranger that he didn't realize what he was doing when he invited Goldberg to join a group chat with senior officials of the President's national security team. The best you can say about it, is that it was incredibly reckless.

The unanswered question is, why didn't anyone else bother to ask, hey, who is this JG person? And if they could not see who all was in the chat, imo that is even worse.

Edit: just looked at the transcript and it shows 19 people on it, in the "Houthi small group."

A formula for disaster, seems obvious.
