It’s shameful what his people did to him. Sending him out there with dementia. It’s an awful disease. My father was brilliant. But dementia reduced him to a point that he couldn’t form a sentence.

Can we not just go with his name?

Honestly, I'm with you. Getting old sucks, but dementia/Alzheimers is really just so painful for everyone in the family. I've seen plenty. I can say with a clear conscience that I hope Mr Biden and his loved ones can more enjoy whatever time is left in peace and comfort.

I debated whether to start a new thread dedicated to tax policy but I decided to put it here.

Despite the Dems rhetoric (that Trump is only out to help the rich), Trump is considering something really interesting. According to insiders such as Steve Bannon, he's considering extending the tax cuts for everyone except the top income bracket. he's also looking to add another bracket for the very rich, those that make over a million/yr. Then he would use that money to pay for is idea of not taxing tips and social security income.

I think this is a huge political winner. What do you all think? Do you support this or not? Please chime in...

May not be a popular position to most, but I am not in favor of increasing ANY taxes on ANY segmanet of our population. We do not have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. DOGE is proving the money is there, we just need to spend it properly.

Finely, this notion of taxing “the rich”. “The Rich” are the people who create most of the jobs in the country. They did not become financially stable by being dumb with their money. When their taxes go up, they will simply pass that along by either 1) hiring less people or 2) charging more for their goods/services. In both situations, we all pay for it.

If no one is going to address the spending problem then we absolutely have a revenue problem. It's why this proposal is a joke until they get doge to do anything

He was a fifty year disgusting ******* of a politician. Respect for him was a horse that left the barn long ago.

I feel zero sympathy for him. None.

This is a very conservative board. Your response is expected. I see where you're coming from. DOgE is not going to solve our budget woes. We will need more revenue

Understand, the rich are not the highest taxed Americans right now. The folks making $176K are. They're paying the full FICA as well as hefty FED taxes. They can afford it. Let Nico pay more in taxes!
