Manchin wants to address climate change, prescription drugs, and reducing the deficit in the parred back version. Two of those three absolutely have merit. The third is just idiot pandering he represents big coal the only climate change he’s gonna want to address is filling more coal trains leaving WV

If that’s what they want then it’s up to them. If Knoxville votes to play Rocky Top every day at noon that’s their choice too even if UK fans don’t like it.
I’ll try yo find a less biased story to see what limits other than no morning call they have.

Gotcha...but the stupidity of having a $1T spending bill to reduce the deficit is what blows my mind, no matter what else is inserted unless it is a $1T+ tax increase.

The Christian Churches should post billboards in the area that Christian’s should use the prayer reminders to pray for the salvation of those that are blasting the audio.

A few years ago I loaned my son money to help buy his first house. Then a family member pointed out I had to charge interest - and pay tax on what he paid me in interest. The IRS refers to it as "imputed interest" if I remember correctly, and they have interest rate schedules according to the loan duration. It made me wonder at that point how far we might be from the day they decide that you should be earning more and paying more in taxes or how much you should be paying for stuff and penalizing you if you aren't doing your part to float the economy.

Well ya know, if a well off relative of yours is dying and want to give their money away before they die.....NOPE! Government gets about half of that money in the form of "gift taxes". There are endless ways for the government to get an arm and a leg from you.

Correct. However, the billionaires’ lawyers and tax accountants are going to have loads of fun with the idiots in the IRS. It’s things like the value of real estate, the value of closely held private businesses, non-publicly traded equity securities, yachts, air planes, collectibles and other non-liquid assets of high wealth individuals where this becomes a train wreck. Even the idiot socialists in Europe have tried and abandoned similar unworkable tax schemes. Forcing billionaires to pay taxes on unrealized gains in stock holdings is also a great way to crash the stock market.

We can only hope there is a faction in the Kremlin that take Biden’s words and starts a western friendly coup.
