We should have clipped China's wings years ago instead of making them a trading partner and funding their military. But stupid is as stupid does. Trade was always going to be a one way affair; China may have the world's greatest population, but except for a limited number of goods, China is no market for US goods. China will only reverse engineer what they can of those ... when they can't just steal the technology.

It's probably better to face the facts now rather than give China more time to prepare. Australian patrol pilots have said that Chinese fighters cut across in front of their plane and ejected chaff and flares - both dangerous and provocative. China has reached out to the Solomon Islands - with part of the treaty allowing China to station police (troops?) if necessary. Imagine fighting twice in a hundred years for a place like Guadalcanal. For the short term China still has a weakness - the engines for their advanced fighter aircraft, but we'll give them time to perfect that, too.

WTH? 73% of Dems approve of his job performance ? I get that y’all voted against Trump but 73% of you approve of what he’s doing, and almost 50% want him to run again???? Smdh .

People have forgotten we have rights before the constitution reaffirmed some of them.
 
He hasn't delivered on their student loan problem; if that changes young adults will be right back in the camp. He just hasn't done anything for them lately. Dems are waiting to start trading favors for votes ... don't want to peak too early.
Good for them if they may be leveraging their votes as you suggest. Honestly, I doubt there is anything that could pacify them enough to shift the numbers significantly higher... but that is what we all should be doing. Don't just give your votes away without getting something in return.

Agree. We're too slow to recognize enemies, and too "nice" to kick them while they are down, so we deal with something really evil when the can gets kicked far enough down the road. When you think about it, the writing has always been on the wall; China backed the opposition in Korea and Vietnam while we wrote it off as the communist bloc attempting to win over the world. The most idiotic part was ever deciding to open trade with China and believing China was a market and would renounce communism and totalitarianism. China has been a closed system for centuries, and the leaders see their people as nothing except basic slave labor and cannon fodder - the result of having too many people. Globalists and China sympathizers are idiots.

Alexander Fraser Tytler would certainly understand but not agree; however, we'd be far better off if what we elect would resemble responsible parents and do what needs to be done rather than try to appease their "constituents" ... and profit from their positions.
