I’d appreciate if CNN could get back to what it once was. It used to be my first stop in the morning for news. Sometime around the Bush II administration it began to shift from news to more a conservative bashing operation.

Their primary focus is no longer the top news stories of the day, but the political analysis of the day and propagating the Democrat agenda.

It’s a shell of what it once was. The on air talent is a reflection of the decline. And previous leaders in the organization didn’t really care, so long as the purpose remained press forward the Democratic agenda.

Like you - I was a regular viewer. Now it (as most cable news) is unwatchable if you just want news. Currently I do Biz News (FoxBusiness or CNBC), Kennedy and Gutfeld. That latter two at least have humor involved and don't take themselves to seriously.

Yea, probable that it is already happening. Most people can’t digest $250-$500 increases in monthly gas PLUS never before seen inflation in food, retail, etc without adjusting their spending.

I’m not so sure about that. It hasn’t worked out well for them over the long term from a ratings standpoint. They were a clear leader in the market and ceded that position in less than a decade.

You're right of course. Because the right has been convinced we need 13 more nuclear aircraft carrier battle groups, etc than the rest of the world combined (0), the left gets all the social spending they want in return for voting for military spending.

But the real problem is the entitlements. And we keep kicking the can down the road. That crap is not going to fix itself and is a tsunami heading towards us.
