Incumbent Mayor of Weslaco David Suarez (D) has been defeated by Adrian Gonzalez (R) in a stunning upset Weslaco is a city in Hidalgo County that has 41k people and voted for Biden by 17 points.

Kristy Marmorato (R), who flipped a Biden +35, Hispanic-plurality NYC Council seat tonight, did so with the endorsement of the city's Hispanic clergy organization, led by the famous Rev. Ruben Diaz Sr. (a DINO former State Senator).

First time in 42 years Republicans have won this NYC district.

This is going to end up being a massive problem down the road. "You'll own nothing and like it". I foresee monopoly/anti trust laws being used against this issue in the future and it will be a huge fight.

I hadn't thought about antitrust law being used to combat the problem, but it does make a lot of sense to go that way. Although the outcome might just be more corporations bidding against each other and still pushing individual homeowners out of the market.
