President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

the pardons are one thing. I am interested in the Amendment thing.

so it WAS a bill going through the proper channels back in the 70s, but never had enough support from the states to get ratified as an actual amendment.
very very very recently Virginia said they would support this. but I haven't seen an actual law/bill saying they actually ratified it, just that they supported ratifying it.
apparently there is no actual limit on how long the ratification process can take.
so the Dems are arguing that Virginia changing its mind makes it official.
but they are also saying that the 5 states who no longer support it, can't change their mind. pointing out that states can't individually de-ratify an amendment. they leave out that the amendment means its actually been ratified for the whole nation. this was never ratified on a national level.

apparently now its in the hands of the National Archives to see if it can go through? I figured the SC would weigh in, but maybe that's later.

they are creating a huge, and as far as I know unprecedented, change to the way we work with the Constitution.

there were deadlines which were not met according to the US National Archives which is responsible for recording USC amendments.

yeah, it seems the argument the Ds are making is its only the APPLICATION that has a deadline, not the actual bill/amendment text and support.

its a terribly nuanced view they are taking and its clearly for political reasoning, and I shudder at what happens the next time if it does happen.

No trum committed a crime and was convicted. Biden pardons were issued to people that Don j (despite thier innocence) would have prosecuted out of spiteful hatred. There would have been zero convicted.
Hunter Biden definitely did wrong and was under investigation under his dad's admin. he certainly would have been convicted.

Trump was not convicted under federal law, but the Biden did try his best.... and he and Obama weaponized the government against not only Trump during their administration but ordinary Americans as well, see IRS scandals i.e. political opponents.

We don't know that, which is why we have process. Reasonably speaking, one could assume they would have been convicted as they wouldn't need a pardon.

Well, I have to hand it to Biden, he hasn't pardoned the other murderers yet i.e. Obama and Clinton.

Absolutely many people should be in jail for what they have done to this country. You defending it, as you defend murderers is very telling. imo

She was shot dead at point blank range while being unarmed.
That jackass could have used different means to subdue her
if she was that big of a threat to that little coward.
She was carrying a knife, had a backpack with unknown contents and was attempting to break down a door to "get at" capital staff fleeing away.
He performed his duty in providing protection

All BS made-up lies from the left to make it like she was a boogieman..
She was murdered on live TV where millions watched what happened
in the moment. She was no threat. It was all made up BS lies you believed.
You're a sheep that just follows along anything the left tells you to believe .

There was no immediate cause for alarm to use deadly force, if you did this.... most likely you would be in jail for the rest of your life.

What institution are you in?
