And for the sports connection
Obama played HS BB and was pretty decent. His brother inlaw is Oregon's HC and he also plays BB as a past time/ hobby/ excerise.

Bush used his family fortune to buy a baseball team. (Which he later sold to one of his largest political fundraisers for a profit in the 20 to 30 million range due to the tax payer bought new baseball stadium).
now if Bush had predicted the winner of the National Cheerleading Competition, Sportscenter should have covered it. :)

i really don't like the "inherited" argument.... 8 years was more than enough time to make at least a minor turn for the better if he did inherit a negative economy..... plus Clinton did a much better job economically( not overall) than the two fools for presidents he was sandwiched in between.... the only surplus since before the great depression ( i call that an accomplishment)

not technically a surplus by acceptable accounting but it is by WH methods. And I still contecd he did better because he had a Repub Congress to keep him honest. Obama has a rubber stamp and anyone who bashed the last rubber stamp Congress should see that is dangerous.

You know if you're going to blame Bush for the current situation, then at least point out the current sub-mortgage problem was something Bush warned us about a few years ago and was totally ignored AND that the current crisis is mostly linked back to the Clinton/Democratic push to increase minority home ownership which in turned pretty much forced banks to give mortgage loans to those that normally wouldn't have qualified. Guess who are the ones primarily defaulting? Not just minorities but mostly those that cannot afford the house they were approved for.

Besides the point of this is not that Obama made the bracket or had some fun, it's that networks are treating him like some freakin' rock star and always showing his goofy smiling face on everything. How many times do I have to see this idiot on FREAKIN' ESPN?

Not to mention he's getting a free pass with his constant reminder that this is all "Bush's fault". Sorry, but pretty soon that isn't going to work anymore, in fact I would argue you've actually made it worse, since last I checked the stock market drops everytime you open your mouth about the economy.

P.S - Make no mistake, Bush was a bad president. But there's no way in hades he's responsible for all this crap. Plus don't even act like Bush wouldn't have been torn a new one had he taken up time on ESPN to fill out a bracket.

I did see that his aids made the bracket for him, so all he had to do was fill in the blanks. So that saved him alot of time.:p

How is that the case. The stock market was at all time highs while he was in office. I know it tanked at the end but not the WHOLE time.........
I could care less if he picks a bracket or not. He has the right just like you and me. Nothing wrong with a little sportsmanship.
