I maybe could have been slightly clearer with my example of it applying to protests. I meant the "shut up and dribble" treatment applied to more than copying a celebratory gesture. As in like actually taking a political stance........

Pearl clutching? I'm pointing out hypocrisy, not taking a stand on the actual merits of the action.

I promise you, many, many people doing and watching the dance view it as Trump support. It takes incredible mental gymnastics to pretend it's not support.

Do you think anybody who hates Trump is doing the dance?

Bosa wore a MAGA hat and ate a fine for it. We're pretending the dance isn't support? Really?

These are loaded questions. They don't have an answer but they lead to assumptions.

I think there are those who do the dance who do not support DJT, sure.

So you think the athletes that have done the dance and claim it's not support are lying?
I don't think they're trying to deny awareness of where it originated. I think they're clearly stating that they're doing it because it's fun.

I guess it could be a dog whistle.....

I've already stated "shut up and dribble" is applicable in his case.

I think it's obtusely close minded not to be able to seperate an emphatic celebratory gesture from a personality.

There is no societal pressure or repercussions of the Trump dance...but ne against BLM or taking a knee and you can lose your buisness or your rep .that's the difference
