Pruitt is a ridiculous choice in the eyes of many. Making decisions based on immediate economic impact is a little short sighted but what we can expect for the duration of Trump's term. Get as much as you can as fast as you can, it's the American way.

So, I guess you would be the better choice for the EPA Chief than Pruitt since you are oh so much smarter & wiser than he is in that position on how the EPA runs it's operation and you would be more effective in that job than Pruitt? Please, by all means enlighten us on how great you would be running the EPA at better standards than Pruitt.

You should probably do some research on Pruitt before you make an asinine post next time, this is the clown that went to court to overturn regulations curbing mercury pollution, cross-border air emissions and a whole laundry list of other regulations. Furthermore, he sent a letter to EPA protesting new methane rules that was wholly written by Devon Energy who contributed to his campaign.

But it's clear she's determined not to grow the federal role in education, perhaps even in the area of school choice – which she has championed in the past.

Ignorance is bliss; at least temporarily. There's really not much that can be done about it. It's sort of like our own version of the Cold War. Why did the Soviet people hate us so much? Why did we hate them? Why are there so many people that hate the US today? When you control the type of information that people receive, it's easy to dictate their beliefs. If the only news you saw about America was about murder, drugs, prison, rape, violence, poverty, corruption, and unrest; you would hate America also. That's what the right wing media is currently doing with Muslims. It's what they do with liberals. Continual bombardment with negative news (even if true) with no positive counter balance will have its desired effect. A Soviet person's hatred of the US in 1980 would have been completely irrational and wrong from our perspective, but to him it was an undeniably legitimate and justifiable belief. That's kind of what we're dealing with here. People are so indoctrinated in their beliefs, they may have passed the point of no return.

You should look at what is happening across Europe. Rape and Murder is skyrocketing in Europe, especially Sweden. The Muslims in Europe are not assimilating at all what so ever. They are a huge strain on Europe's social infrastructure. On this pace, Europe will be done within the next 20 years.

We're talking about a religious group that's been trying to take down the west since its inception.

I know that those things are happening but you are only being shown the worst - continually. They could show us eight murders and 10 rapes committed by Muslims each day and if that was all we saw (which it is) we are left to conclude that things are horribly out of control and falling apart at the seams. We have more murders and rapes then that by Americans against Americans - luckily that is not all we are shown and are wise enough to know that as bad as that is, America is actually doing okay because of our personal knowledge and experience.

If all you see about some group is negative....you're probably being propagandized.

There is a reason why Trump wants to discredit the msm and why 1984 is the current best seller. If we buy into the distrust of the msm and the fear mongering of the Muslim culture, we are behaving exactly as they hoped and planned.

Of course there are people that hate America and want to do as much destruction as possible. I would think that we all want that number of people to be as small as possible. There are things we can do to decrease that number and things we can do to increase that number. There have always been and will always be people driven by hate and destruction and they are always trying to increase the number of like minded idiots. The true evil people usually aren't the ones actually carrying out the act but the ones brainwashing and recruiting others to their side. How is it people get to the point where they will sacrifice their own life to destroy others? They have been brainwashed and propagandized by controlled and often false information. That is the root of evil. Without that, the small number of truly evil people would be easy to deal with. It's only when they are able to brainwash the masses that large scale conflict occurs. There are people out there wanting large scale conflict and information control is their ticket. People recruiting potential terrorist do so by telling them America is evil and wants to kill them. Some people like telling us that Muslims are evil and want to kill us. Hopefully there will not be many on either side that fall for the brainwashing.
