So Cane is #1 WR in the nation? lol he showed out at the Opening but Williams has way more talent, imo.

Williams didnt have the showing at The Opening like some of the others in the 7on7 because he was essentially double and triple teamed...the one on ones,he was toying with the db's...Tolliver,who is the #7 ranked recruit in the nation, has been abused at 2 different camps by P-Willy... he beat them pressing him on the line,he cuts under them,he manhandles the db's,he runs right by them, the kid has it all... He said he went to the Opening to find some competition from some of the best DB's in the country, but its the same ol,same ol,P-Willy dominating chumps...:)

Preston is, in my mind, our biggest get for his class. To think of this guy maturing in the orange and white...wow...blows me away.

We can't wait, Mr. Williams!

Wow! We knew he was good, but dang...it's almost like watching the Harlem Globetrotters vs some scrubs. If he doesn't end up in the Top 5-10 players (overall) on most recruiting service's list, I'll be shocked. He looks better than Julio Jones did coming out of HS.

Video is toward the bottom of the page:

The only way I could see this kid backing out of his commitment is if something bad happened with his fiancé between now and then. He's already talking about marrying her when he turns 18, so do you think he would go play somewhere else when his girl is at UT? I think not!

I don't like the sound of that. Lot can happen with the other away at college...

Respectfully disagree, and I love Preston Williams game and ability, but McKenzie is our biggest get of this class because not only is he an absolute beast, he fits a position of need. We got guys at the skill positions, but we are seriously lacking on the offensive/defensive lines right now. Especially the offensive line, and interior defensive line. SEC is a line of scrimmage league and McKenzie is a HUGE get for us.

Is he playing against middle schoolers?

I was thinking the same thing, that competition didn't look like much... if he is 6'4 then those defenders were super small, even for HS.

Funny video though. Not sure how much you can tell from that video how it will translate to college. Kind of like watching Dylan Moses play in junior high.

Is this kid still a firm commitment?

I would say he is all Vol. One big reason is his fiancé goes to TN and he even mentioned getting married in school. Probably only taking the visits to UCLA and USCw to see Cali. No way he flips after what he witnessed Sunday. We have the best football environment in the country

Soccer season will definitely make sure he stays in great condition. Should be able to jump right into summer workouts. Wish he'd be an EE for his own sake, but I get it.

That punt return was CP-esque. His field vision and patience is incredible.

He's specifically staying in school through May so he can play soccer? I love soccer, but come on man!

I interviewed Preston for the Daily Beacon recently. Still seems all Vol. Especially with his Girl enrolled at UT.

He is ball smart. Watch how he breaks back to the QB before he throws the ball on a short out throw. I saw his belt buckle above the head of the CB on a couple of passes. That is down right jumping!
Go Vols!!!

Well he is playing in 6A Georgia football, not sure how tough his region is. But the competition is probably not as bad as most states.

Please take my comments as not a knock on him at all, I mean clearly he is physically twenty steps above whatever is going on in that division. I actually don't know anything about him, he might be great. He just looks freaking huge out there.

I was blown away with his poise on the punt return, most kids panic when the play breaks down hell he looked like a caged lion pacing back and forth looking for its prey

Wow! That vid was insane. Some of those stiff arms were hilarious. I hate that he's not an EE anymore. The quicker the ink is dried with PW the better!

Agree. I didn't realize how big the kid was until I saw the video. He truly is 20 times the player of everyone in that video. Gonna be a good one.
