Pride of the Southland Band Halftime Show

The whole experience was phenomenal! From the flyover to the Running through the “T” in the black unis to the introduction of previous championship teams to the POTSB performance!! When was the last time the POTSB danced on the field! And then the beatdown of UK. Truly awesome!

Don’t know if it’s happened since, but I did see a field level video of them dancing to Thriller from 12 years ago on YouTube when I was looking for yesterday’s performance.

Pregame sounds so much crisper this year. I don’t strain to hear the alma mater march. Lines for the NA were straight this week (didn’t happen much with the previous regime).

Halftime this week was great. Crowd loved it and that’s all that matters. My wife didn’t go this week and is far from a band geek but out of the blue watched the vid of half time. She could not stop saying how awesome it was.

OTOH, the so called million dollar band from Alabama was embarrassing. March on to a drum cadence. Stop and play. March to a new spot to drum cadence. Stop and play. Done. I guess playing and marching at the same time is a graduate level course. There are bad HS bands that perform better than them.
