Prison reform needed?

Not to mention the liability of someone overdosing and dying off of one use of your "legal" product. Are drug addicts going to sign company waivers? Lol the lawsuits will be endless

They already do that with the oxycodone and other legal drugs that are distributed illegally. There is no true lagality of any substance. Copper pots are alive and well, even though you can march right down to the corner store for a 5th of cheap whiskey and $250 a pop whiskey.

I’m not. I don’t see how it’s a net benefit to society by legalizing those sorts of things. I’d be happy to quit sending people to jail for Weed though
There is a difference between legalization amd decriminalization.
I think I’ve said that about three times in this discussion.

Ok decriminalize it. I think the result is going to be more people using and distributing hard drugs. I think that’s a net loss for society

You’re basically stopping the punishment of the addict. You can still go after manufacturing and distribution.

It’s been tried in other countries and they are better off or no worse. Cleans up the court system. Reduces inmates and focuses money on treatment.

Decriminalizing would be stupid. Legalize and regulate the same as we do hard liquor.

I think there’s benefits to what you are saying, but I think there are more negatives to allowing drug consumption with relative impunity.
