When Pearl actually does something like take us to the Elite 8 are Final Four then he will be elite.

Until then, he has given us hope and some early wins.

Thats it

I hope NOT! UGA should be w/o an experienced qb, if anyone watched the FL vs GA you know their back-up qb is awful. UGA also lost several other key positions. USC regardless of their recruiting season is still leagues behind UT's overall talent level. UF's Coach appears to be progressive & wise enough to at least make adjustments in his offensive philosophy. Undoubtly UF will end up w a top 5 recruiting class, and be favored for the SECE Title in 06.

Someone asked where all the anti-Fulmer fans were during the 98 NC. I'm not saying I was marching against him, but I certainly felt our offense needed a major overhaul even then. Unfortunately, NOTHING & I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was ever done even when it was obvious the offense was our problem. That lack of leadership to improve what is obvious plotted our current course to "rock bottom" status.

If UGA & USC beat us again, not to mention UF, MAJOR (and I'm not talking about bringing in more "family" friends or recycled assistants from Fulmer's little Orange Book) will be needed. Plain & simple.

Someone else stated our offensive philosophy of taking what the defense gives us is the problem, I completely agree. With our general talent advantage, size, speed & depth that's totally stupid! UT SHOULD DICTATE THE COURSE OF THEIR OFFENSIVE ATTACK. My friends I'm talking about expansion beyond the 8 play, 30 year old scheme UT / Fulmer appears to be locked into.

Patience, patience, patience........

When and if discipline is reestablished, hey, if only on special teams, next year will be a 9 win season.

I disagree . . . Joe Tereshinski is no world beater, but he wasn't all that bad in that game. Richt just went super-conservative with the playcalling.

Who do you consider the best competition in the East?

1.) Florida
2.) Georgia

1.) Florida
2.) South Carolina

1.) Georgia
2.) Florida

1.) Georgia
2.) South Carolina

Etc.......

I think it's 1) Florida 2) Georgia.

The only reason I don't put SC up there is that they are losing their two best guys on defense to the NFL draft and while they are good at QB and WR, I think it remains to be seen whether they are going to be able to run the ball enough to sustain success.

SEC East Champs - 2002-2005

Georgia
Georgia
Tennessee
Georgia

I think that should explain who our biggest competition is....

UF is good but far from great. I expect UF to actually lose to UGA next year and maybe to us.

Even though UGA has NO qb (imo) I fully expect Richt to out coach Fulmer...again.

I expect UF to beat us based on UM's willingness & wisdom to adjust his "system" plus he will have a very, very talented squad. Bear in mind UF's offensive system is a hybrid of WVA's offense, look what they did to UGA in the bowl game.

SOS came to Knoxville w absolutely NO talent (relatively speaking) and out coached Fulmer...again.

Trying to hate Fulmer is like trying to hate a cup of plain yogurt. Its not very exciting, has nothing to stimulate you visually, kinda yucky going down. But in the long run...its good for you. Fulmer is a plain cup of yogurt.

So eat your yogurt and stop your whinning.

............and to be content to consistently lose to UF, UGA, SC, and now Bama.

P.S. There is no such thing as an SEC East championship. Show me a picture of the trophy or where it is recorded in the Ncaa official recordbook!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

tell me something folks what is the use of a 9 win season when the only thing that will do is put us in the peach bowl to get blown out. i just don't get it if the man is not going to get us into a major bowl game or a shot at the sec then he needs to go.

At the very least, Fulmer should have been the leader his nearly 2 million dollar contract calls for, and made some decisions (years ago) to rid THE UT FOOTBALL program of some sorry coaches. Believe it or not UT FOOTBALL is bigger than CPF, regardless of what some here think.

The only team on that list that CPF has consistently lost to in the last 5 seasons is UGA. Did you call Miss Cleo to predict what WILL happen under Fulmer?

Careful now! You question that deity named Fulmer on this board you'll wind up like my friend OklaVol being asked to leave. Reminds me of the Jim Carrey movie "Truman Show". You start asking questions (or posting negative comments about CPF) and soon men in dark suits and sunglasses show up and remove you, permantly. :nono:

Have whatever opinion you want about Fulmer, I don't care. But you need to know what you are talking about before you take it upon yourself to post something like this. Oklavol has NEVER been asked to leave and can post here right now if he so chooses.

...and if you don't believe me, go look at his profile. If he was banned, it would clearly say so . . .

No, that only happens to annoying people. It has nothing to do with Fulmer or anybody else for that matter. Like GaVol said, oklavol is the one who stopped posting on his own free will. His choice and his choice only.

All that bad and no world beater don't cut it in the SEC. Richt is not thrilled with him and there's much better in the waiting. But take a look at a fluffed up and hyped UGA team playing and losing to UF and look at this coming year with less talent on the field with Joey T and not always as hyped as the World's Largest Cocktail Party. I'm not sure he'd last too long in a full season even if he played. He's not fast and up against a lot of defensive speed in the conference, he could be laid out by October.

I agree. He is what he is . . . their version of Rick Clausen.

I think they are betting on Blake Barnes stepping up.

Good lord, no it is not.

Rodriguez runs nearly 80% of the time

Meyer runs a 50/50 balance.

They are nothing alike other than the lineups.

They don't run the same plays at all

Cox is their new guy from what I hear.

Barnes has been all but a complete bust so far
