Might happen, but I would be surprised if we start two true frosh at CB.

Hadden, Burrell, and Rucker are all CB's. Turnage and Harrison are more natural at S or Star. As frustrating as it may be to some, Burrell is an almost certain starter at CB if he rehabs well.

McCollough will start. Slaughter would be more likely to beat out McDonald than McCollough.

Dang you've got two freshman starting at corner? lol that'll be interesting to watch.

And didn't Jaylen McCullough start this season, I'd expect him to start opposite Slaughter.

But I sure like how McDonald hits. His hit against Rattler was about the only bright spot in that game.

Yeah, I was just trying to shake things up in the secondary will younger players rather than the vets who got torched the past few years. They would all be much better if we can get consistent pressure on the QB.

My thoughts:
Crawford will start Either at RT or LT. He battled Mincey all year for the position.
At WR TN will likely add 1 if not 2 WRs from portal. They'll be ahead of freshmen.
Elijah Herring will be in rotation with Beasly, Jujuan and Pili.
Burrell will start at one CB with Hadden/Turnage holding another side. God forbid if we have 2 freshman corners in SEC play.
Christian Harrison will play at Safety alongside Slaughter. McCullough and Turrentine in rotation.
Cam Miller is a WR so far.
Milton won't be here to start. It will be portal guy.

Forgot to insert Crawford.

You’re probably right about the secondary. I just think we can’t do worse at CB than last year, so maybe it wouldn’t hurt to start the freshman.

I like your revisions, but I'm thinking you may be wrong on Milton...hoping.

Opinion only based on nothing…if Karic isn’t the starter at RT, it’s because LJIII took it…then he’s competing with Nichols for the LG spot.

Let’s pray that doesn’t happen. Like the kid just not a good cb in SEC he would be on the American concert or something

The coaches will not play kids that they can't trust to run the system regardless of talent and learning the scheme will take time
Yeah, I'm still pissed about the CB play all season. I don't know if it's coaching or lack of confidence. But, all of our CBs were playing 10 yards off every play, then back-pedaling, and only sometimes making the tackles. I like CBs that play aggressive and have catch-up speed if they do get beat.

Probably should put Hobbs in the DL rotation. I think Merrill will back up Squirrel in the slot. It will be interesting to see what they do with Seldon. I’d put as much speed as possible on the field on D
