I agree with this, and I think the Weekly's would as well. I don't think they have a problem with where we are seeded.(for motivational purposes. The media outrage is to get the fans behind us.) We had a fairly young team this year, especially on the mound. I think they would rather have the record they have, the confidence that comes along with it, and feel ok about having sacrificed a few seed positions for that confidence. It was important this season to have the girls feel confident and prepared and in rythm headed into conference play as brutal as the SEC is.

Had we swept UF at the end of the season I think you would've seen a 2-4 OA rank increase all things considered.

We are playing well right now. Aside from the UF series, we have been stellar to close the season and are in good shape to make a nice run IMO.

UGA being seeded higher than us is what really bothers me more than anything... I just don't understand it at all.

Go Lady Vols!!! They are more fun to watch then the baseball team, and have been since Holloway was an acrobat with a glove several years back.

Softball is a more fun game to watch on TV at the college level IMO as well. The tempo is quite a bit faster, and the players doubling as cheerleaders shows a lot of camaraderie.

The Lady Vols are all VFL!

There is no reasoning behind them being seeded so low. Should have been an 8. Good motivation though. I guess.

Ridiculous seeding. No foundation as to record or previous world series performances. The problem is that they have to play many more games just to get to where they should have been placed.... getting fatigued and wearing on their pitchers long before teams that are undeservedly seeded above them play a difficult game. Not the first time, though... they've been shafted before...

Totally agree. I was sick to my stomach after seeing how Goe, Fla and Bama retained lofty rankings while the Lady Vols were ranked 12th and seeded even lower. The best way to tell the NCAA what we think of their seeding is a return trip to the WCWS.
