I say let Norm Chow come in as Associate Head Coach and have free reign on offense and allow him to pick his own staff. Give him four years to prove himself and if he shows he can lead the SEC offensively in the East, in the 5th year Fulmer moves up to Associate Athletic Director in Charge of Football Operations or retires and Chow becomes Head Coach. This way Fulmer can do what he does best, recruit and clap his hands, Chow builds a scoring machine and Chavis a stopping machine.

I think it would be a breath of fresh air to see NC as part of the staff at UT. However, I think that problems go much deeper than the removal of RS. I think NC would consider coming but there would have to be more changes in the staff.

Norm Chow wanted to be a COLLEGE head Coach at Stanford while he was still at USC but was beat out by a Majors guy. Do you think Stanford is a better gig than TN?

keyword there: "while he was at USC" He's in the NFL now which is the highest point for college football coaches. Just because the Titans are not having a good year because they have no players, doesn't mean he is going to drop everything and come to UT.

I say get a younger guy that knows about(A Patrick Nix at Ga. Tech for example). There is some baggage on Norm that we don't know about or he would have gotten a HC job by now.

PS for that idiot Bammer, WES, to say UT is not a top 10 program, just remember what Ara Parasegian said after he retired from ND that if he every coached again that UT would be the place!!!

Absolutely! Stanford athletics will run circles around Tennessee, not to mention the education the students get!
