Just remember that when people start freaking out today about a state going one way, and then going the other....it's just the order in which they count votes. It's not wackiness. It's not a conspiracy. This is the process for certain states. They count one party first, then the other.

Well, that's what I thought.

We early voted in Halls and there was a middle aged man in line a few voters ahead of me with a red lanyard. The election official checked it out for campaign advertisements before he ever got to the building.

What? You mean to tell us they look at a ballot and see someone voted for X and set it aside because they are only counting votes for Y at the moment?

Normally I'd laugh at this post and think you forgot the blue font but lately....

So how is it that when states update their vote counts, the viewing public see updates to both parties simultaneously?

Sorry, I misspoke in a hurry trying to get out the door taking my kids to school. I meant to say the order of mail-in ballot counting determines when "left-leaning" and "right-leaning" votes are counted. For example, PA cannot count mail-in ballots until today. Red people tend to vote in person more, so last election, PA appeared to be red until they caught up on the mail-in votes and then we saw it go blue and people thought a conspiracy was afoot. Georgia is the opposite. They can count mail-in early, so it looked strongly blue last election and then saw a red wave.

Strangely enough, when I first started watching elections in the 80‘s; every state except for Alaska and Hawaii had their results in by 2 or 3 am. And that was using paper or punchcard ballots with no internet tabulation. And now; 40 years later, with supercomputers, the cloud, AI, and instantaneous communication and it takes them a week????
Some people will believe anything the „experts“ tell them apparently

Except that i believe that this is something like the fourth time in the past week that a judge has had to order PA to fix or change something. I guess it COULD just be gross incompetence though. I am certain the fact that it is continuing to happen in the most critical state in the entire election is PURELY coincidental
