Proof the Dems have no class

kpt just wanted to shift the debate. The fact is that the over whelming majority of kooks are libs. To suggest otherwise is intellectually dishonest.

Maybe this is just a definition issue....give your personal definition of "kooks".

yep, and despite 6 straight years of hype and 19 months being considered the second coming of Jesus Christ, Obama had 3 million fewer viewers for his speech than the small town mayor few people knew about 10 days ago.

Not trying to denigrate numbers here but Obama did have around a million viewers more than Palin

you need to get off the ship a little more often.

My Way News - More than 40 million people see Palin speech

oh, and a little more:

This week's ratings, with an average of 34.5 million viewers watching the GOP convention over three days, proved people are becoming more interested in what the Republicans have to say. The Democrats had an average audience of 30.2 million over four days, Nielsen said.

now, I'm pretty good at math, and I know that 4 x 30.2 million is more than 3 x 34.5 million, but the GOP really did put "Country First" on Monday night and rightly focused their attention on the hurricane.

Hence the reason people tuned in. Also, Joe Democrat would rather watch an episode of Seinfeld than a convention and Joe Republican would rather watch a convention than the Super Bowl.

Just the blanket statement of this thread -- lumping all Dems into one term such as "classless" -- is moronic.

Yeah, I bet a bunch of people were sitting around thinking "I would watch that Sarah Palin speech, if only it were on BET"

none of which changes the main point of my earlier post, a candidate being hyped for 6 years with fully 95% of the media behind him being equaled by a candidate known for less than a week (at the time of her speech) and despised by 95% of the media.

Exactly -- and what's the point of this whole argument? More people watching means more votes? I'm not buying that. I don't care if half the world watched either debate, it doesn't make one candidate is closer to being elected than the other.

What about lifetime, WE, HSN? C'mon you're borderline homer attitude toward BO is bothersome.

To argue your case.. explain to me why they decided to air BO on BET? Are you sayin a lot of blacks sat around and said the only reason I'm watching BO is because he's on BET?

No, but considering the historical significance of his acceptance of the nomination I would think that Black Entertainment Television might just be interested in airing it.

If it had been Michael Steele instead of Sarah Palin, I'd bet you $1 BET would have been showing reruns of "Good Times".

I am just amazed that people think this is a big deal. I don't think it's surprising.
