Alabama just lost Prothro for the season. He has scored two touchdowns for them today. He broke his leg on a pass into the endzone. I was one of the ugliest injuries that I have ever seen.

I was very surprised they threw in the endzone with game in hand...Karma is unkind at times I guess...hopefully he'll return soon.

that was a theisman break- His foot was dangling. only the skin and muscle kept it attached. He wont be back this season. My hats off to him and the team for a decisive victory. Bama is for real.

That injury was nasty. Good win for the Tide though. Just about everyone on our schedule is real.

Very true... At any rate you just hate to see a kid get hurt, he may have been the best WR in the SEC. I'm sure the Bammers will be complaining that Shula should have taken him out sooner, especially with last years Bama injury debacle. Ah well, hind site is 20/20. Hope he returns soon.

That injury has just made the alltime highlight real for worst injuries.

I'm glad I was at Wal-Mart and didn't see it.

That was by far one of the worst I've ever seen....Just dangling there like a chicken bone...He's a dang good player...That may have hurt his career in the NFL big time....I hated to see that....But I'm glad Bama took the gators to the wood shed...Now all we got to do is take care of business the rest of the year....and UF lose one more game

Ive only seen the clip 2-3 times, But the one view when he rolls over and grabs his calf and the foot and about 5" of leg just dropped

Just from the tv angles etc, It looks as though the Fibula and Tibia both have snapped :dunno: . I hate it really bad for the kid, im not even sure thats one you come "back" from?

I know it will take a big chunk out of their passing game, but good grief, I hate to see an injury like that. I really feel sorry for the kid...

Agreed with most everybody. One of my favorite players to watch so far this year. Sucks he got injured, I'd really like to beat Bama when they're at full strength.

Shula ends his best players season for the 2nd consecutive year

I dont think bammer fans would be complaining had he caught that for a td. That is part of the game. No one is complaining that Brodie was still in the game throwing the ball. Everyone seems to second guess every coaches move.

That is what Mike Shula gets for having his starters in with 5 minutes to go...He obviously hasn't learned from the times he left Croyle in too long...Shula is an idiot.
