I for one think we should thank our lucky stars for ending up not only with Pruitt as head coach but also for ending up with the class we did! Some ppl will never be satisfied. We couldve had Purdue or NCSU coach, then we are pulled from 64 to low 20s in class ranking today in very little time. Ok maybe we didnt land all of the big names we were after, but that is a direct reflection of a 4-8 record. Hate to say it, but the days of rolling out the Big Orange T and everyone flocking to it are over. Winning cures all. I respect his word for staying at Bama for playoff.

What was everyones expectations exactly? Did people really think we would get a top 10 or even 15 class? Our fan base needs a reality check. Its not the 90s or early 2000s anymore. We are in 2018 and coming off our worst season in history. Elite recruits dont want to come to this dumpster fire. Pruitt is just going to have to prove he can develop players and hopefully finish 6-6 and get to a bowl game.

i'll be honest, as we sat there with the #16 class and looking at who we were really working on, i thought it was going to be possible to get up there around 12.
i didn't think we'd whiff on all the big fish. got my hopes up.
but that is more on me, than what i probably expected.
the day he was hired, knowing the shape the class was in, i didn't think top 20 was doable. two weeks from NSD, there was a path to get to that top 12ish.......
just too much to overcome. we'll see what happens in 19:thumbsup:
