Pryor is an idiot

That's actually pretty hilarious.
No, it's actually sad and pathetic. This young man is a product of the hip hop/lap top generation and the dumbing down of our kids. The only thing that would have capped it off would be the phrase, "you know what I'm sayin'...".

NCAA needs to take away personal expression on the eye black stickers.

The NCAA may be bad, but they aren't communists. As long as its nothing offensive, it shouldn't matter whats on them.

Are you going to ban basketball players from writing on their shoes or football players from writing on their tape and everything?

What if it's an advertisement? What if someone writes a web address or something.com on their eye black? Is it still okay to put anything you want?

Yes. Believe it or not, the games were played for years and years without people writing personal things on their tape, shoes, etc.

1) Yes. Yes it is.

2) So that means players shouldn't be able to do it today because players back in the day didn't do it?

I disagree with you completely on #1.

As for #2, I think many in the current climate of sports forget about the team concept. If a player writes something on his eye black that's going to cause controversy and become a distraction, then it shouldn't be done. The way to draw the line on that is to take all of it out. No personal expressions on eye black. Games will go on and people will show up. Believe me on that.

It's rumored that Tressel is informing all players their eye black must be "government issued" and should only contain Buckeye stuff on them. Still looking for the story.

Also, USC players are apparently limited to what they're allowed to put on their eye black.

At USC's practice on Thursday, Coach Pete Carroll said he relies on equipment managers to monitor what his players write on their eye black.

The coach said "Hi, Mom" is acceptable. Also, "I love Coach Carroll."

......What's the big deal?

He was in high school when Vick was in his prime. He can't dictate worth a damn but he can ball. Her can take elocution lessons when he gets to the NFL.

Anyway...he's 19.

He's supposed to be a little stupid.

I think Pryor goes beyond being a "little bit" stupid. How did this guy get into a university? And who took the SAT for him?

In other words, everything's okay because "he can ball", right? That's the very mindset that causes the problem. Imagine if Pryor comes out and sustains a career ending injury tonight. Assuming he's as ignorant as he sounds (and he might not be), what would he do for a living? How would he do in an interview as he goes in speaking to a possible employer?

.....never said that. Valid points though. I'm pretty sure his speech patten problems started a long time before he picked up a football. But we're not gonna solve the problem of getting parents to properly invest in their kids futures here, so I'll just stick to football.

Everyone is dumping on him because of who he's trying to defend. The fact that he sucks at public speaking is just another reason to do so. Like I said above.. he was/is a big fan of Vick's and his desire to defend his boyhood hero wandered into the stupid side of fandom.

I wouldn't be surprised if any of our players sound like that when you stick a camera in his face and turn on the lights.

Add teachers and coaches to that list along with parents. In our society, kids often get a pass if they can play ball.

"We should have beat them by two or three touchdowns. Easy, man," Pryor said. "The ball just went the wrong way, like I keep saying. We needed this win. It just hurts right now, but we've got a long season to go. We're going to fight and we'll be back in it. We've got a good chance."

Thats what he said last night after the USC game. Jesus Christ he needs to stop talking.
