If Milton starts slow he needs to stay out of his own head and quit aiming passes.
I agree. It looks like he's trying aim or place the ball in there and those throws end up being a little high or behind the receiver. I did notice that Milton seems to be more accurate when drops down like 3/4 or side arm for some reason. Like he's just ripping it and not overthinking it.

I would clarify that as “passing game”. It takes two to throw and catch passes.

The receivers did their part man. There was one blatant drop. When a guy like brew is running wide open, and the bass is supposed to be thrown out in front of him all you see with the camera is it tipping off of his hands. If the camera focused on the player, he’s running as hard as he can in the ball is thrown 5 yards behind him he has to hit the brakes totally stop his momentum and throw his hands back. Just really can’t criticize him for that. There was one to Bru like that, there was one squirrel like that, there was one to the tightens across the middle, there was the fourth downplay that was thrown behind the receiver. It’s just shocking how a six-year qb is so damn inaccurate, throwing the football. He’s not good. But all any cares about is he can do backflips and throw it 90 yards. Who cares.

I agree with this. Next week defines the direction of our season. TAMU and Bama both look completely beatable. We beat Florida we are 6-0 headed into Tuscaloosa for sure and looking at undefeated heading into the Georgia game.

Or we could drop a deuce in Gainsville and be a 2 loss team after Bama.

Either way next week is the beginning of what will define this team.
Joe is too inconsistent to say we'll be 6-0 going into Tuscaloosa. No matter the outcome in the Swamp. South Carolina and A&M will show up yo play. I just don't see it.

75% of the game is mental IMHO. When they're up, they're up. Down, then down... You can often see it in a player's eyes, body language and performance. Coaches (and other players) just got to keep them motivated and believing throughout the game.

Coach JH won’t pull OTJ. He needs to run him. there is no way he should be sitting back in the pocket like a tree waiting to get cut down.
he looks intimidated to me.
Believe it or not as big as he is I think he’s scared of getting hit.

It is a team game. "The receivers did their part man" is not what I saw. Looked at the stats. Did not see a stat for "receivers did their part man". Two games in and the QB and receivers are struggling. Are they scoring? Sure. But, how many balls are hitting the ground no matter who is at fault? Milton has received a lot of spears thrown at him but, without him we don't beat Vandy and Clemson last season. Doubt we have anyone else with better skills and experience. I heard Nico was injured yesterday and could have hurt himself more if he played. Soooo, we have won two games, passing game is a work in progress, Go Vols, beat Florida, beating up on your own players kinda silly don't you think?
