Purdue vs. TN

That's damn rich coming from you.
I'd still like to see proof I ever made a prediction on the Purdue-West Virginia game. Pretty sure I had Purdue higher in my preseason Top 25 and I'm quite sure I made no such prediction after watching Truck move around like Fred Sanford and Mazzula fail to lift his left arm above shoulder level against Seton Hall in Newark last Saturday.

Are you schizophrenic?
I like the idea where a full 1/3 of a league can be utter trash, but the conference isn't "weak." I didn't even mention Alabama has lost every game they've played against legitimate competition, Mississippi State's next quality win will be their first, and Florida has reverted to being the same cajones challenged crew they've been the last two seasons. Kentucky and Ole Miss are the only SEC teams with anything to really talk about in the way of a nonconference resume. Tennessee gets a shot to join them next Sunday.

Slice it any which way you want, but Purdue is overrated.
I'll say this for them, they're lucky they aren't in the Big 12. Not sure the Big East or ACC would treat them well on a night in, night out basis, either.

Since I'm handing out kudos to the SEC for its nonconference performance, I would be remiss if I didn't mention LSU losing at home last night to a Utah team that came to Baton Rouge with a sparkling 6-7 record. Bravo, Tigers. The NIT has to be licking its chops about having a bunch of SEC teams at its disposal come Selection Sunday.
