My god that was terrible. Were they trying to make a song sponsoring FloMax or about kidney stones. I like good rap but the vast majority of rap being garbage like this is a low point in the genre.

You don't even have to be talented to have a label or get a deal now. At least the bad rappers from the 90's to late 2000's could rap...these clowns now mumble ish that makes no sense, doesn't sound good and has no flow. I miss what rap/hip hop used to be. The lyricists like Joyner Lucas do stand out because of the scarcity of good young rappers.

Exactly my point. Gates shouldn't be lesser known. I literally do not know one single person who listens to rap and prefers Future over Gates....or Future over almost anybody for that matter. Future has had like 2 decent songs in his entire career and is mostly only good for a mumbled hook or ad libs on some junk Jay Z featuring Beyonce track.

Gates has more bangers than I can think of off the top of my head.

I agree. It went from real artists to artists that will do whatever their label wants them to do, such as dress up in those big, ugly ass outfits...Nicki Minaj is a prime example of this....trash.

You ever seen the Desiigner, Anderson Paak and Lil Dicky freshman cypher? I think it was the 2016 one. For some reason this conversation reminded me of that. No Life Shaq's reaction to it is freaking hilarious....lol, Desiigner has possibly the worst freestyle of all time and Lil Dicky is just smiling the whole time trying not to laugh.
