The Florida quarterback says it's down to the Vols and Sun Devils. Also says that Clawson is a big part of the reason he's considering Tennessee.

He was at the USF/West Va football game in Tampa. Vitale resides in Sarasota and has season tickets to the Tampa Bay Rays (yes they officially dropped the Devil), so he's really into the sports scene in the Bay area. He goes to High School football games every Friday in Sarasota and evidently he saw one of Kelly's games and was impressed.

The coaches might not agree with you. Except for Crompton, we haven't seen any of the current UT quarterbacks perform in a meaningful situation. Clawson may believe this guy has more of an upside.

And even if it doesn't work out, maybe he becomes the next Todd Helton.

And Casey Kelly has not preformed in a meaningful situation either. The comment was more along the lines of the fact that we already have a junior, sophomore, and rd freshman QB on the roster. None of which are walk-ons or anything like that.
